The University Grants Commission, which regulates university education at the national level, has stated that the UGC NET results will be announced in a day or two, i.e., by February 17 or 18, 2022. The December-2020 UGC-NET could not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the National Testing Agency (NTA) performed the UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 Cycles simultaneously between November 20, 2021, and January 5, 2022.

The UGC-NET was held at 837 centres throughout 239 cities in the country and covered 81 subjects. Over 12 lakh people applied for the UGC-NET. On January 21, the Commission issued the UGC NET answer keys, and candidates had until January 24 to file objections to the provided answer keys.
The results for the same are currently being processed , the official notice conveyed. Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar, Honourable Chairman of the UGC, stated that the UGC is actively working with the NTA and that the best attempts are being made to announce the UGC-NET results within a day or two . He wished the candidates luck for the results.
The National Eligibility Test (NET) is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine whether Indian nationals are eligible for assistant professorships, Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), or both, at Indian universities and colleges.
