Uttar Pradesh Board will hold examinations for Class 10 & 12 students from March 16, 2017. One of the officials revealed that the Election Commission confirmed the dates of examination. However, the timetable for the examinations is not announced by the board. Students can expect timetable within few days.
An official associated with UP Board revealed that Class 10 examinations would continue for 15 days from March 16, 2017, whereas Class 12, i.e., Intermediate examinations will continue for 25 days.

Amarnath Verma, Chairman of the UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, explained that the dates and time of the examinations would be announced soon and the board is working on it. He further added that usually the board examinations in Uttar Pradesh commence in the month of February and conclude in March. However, due to assembly polls in five states, the dates of examination have been deferred. As of now, the examinations will commence in mid-March and conclude in April.
UP Board also revised the schedule of examinations like ISCE, ISE and CBSE. As per the previous schedule, Class 10 & 12 examinations had to commence on February 16 and conclude on March 20, 2017.

This year, around 26.24 lakh students are going to take intermediate examinations, and around 34.4 lakh students are going to appear for Class 10 examinations. The number of students appearing for UP Board examinations has declined this year.
This year, the board is going to take extensive measures to prevent mass copying during the examinations. The board declared 31 districts as 'sensitive areas' and informed the officials of concerned districts to carry out the examinations strictly.
