Union Public Service Commission, UPSC Civil Services 2022 exam will be commencing from tomorrow 16th September 2022 to 25th September 2022 for all applicants who have registered for the Mains exam after qualifying the prelims this year. With the UPSC main admit card released on the official website, candidates must take a printed copy and follow the exam day guidelines. Here is a quick look at the important documents needed to carry on the exam day along with other important things.

UPSC CSE Mains 2022: Documents to Carry on the Exam Day

As the UPSC mains exam will be conducted tomorrow, applicants are advised to have all their things and documents in place. Here is a look at the important documents for for UPSC CSE Mains 2022 exam day.

  1. UPSC Mains Admit Card 2022 (Printed Copy) - It is to be noted that in case any applicant forgets the admit card, he/she will not be allowed to enter the examination centre under any circumstances

  2. A valid photo id proof (any one of the following) for identity verification with a printed copy

  • Aadhar Card

  • PAN Card

  • Voter ID Card

  • Bank Passbook (with photograph attested)

  1. In case your face on the UPSC CSE 2022 Mains admit card is unclear, Carry the same photograph along with you that is present on the hall ticket

  2. In case the applicant is coming with a scribe, a proper certificate and permission letter should be generated at the time of verification

Things to carry on the UPSC Mains Exam Day

UPSC is conducting the Civil Services Mains Exam carefully and with high security. Applicants must go through the list of things that are allowed and prohibited in the examination centre.

  • Applicants must not carry any mobile phone inside the examination hall. The official instructions state that any electronic device of any form including pen drives, earbuds, earphones, etc. is prohibited

  • A normal or simple wristwatch (only analogue) is allowed inside the UPSC Mains examination hall. Any smart watch, smart band, or any other watch having complex mechanisms and other fixtures are not allowed

  • A black ballpoint pen is to be carried for UPSC Mains 2022 exam day

  • Any metallic jewellery or wearables must be kept outside the examination hall

  • A hand sanitiser and water bottle are allowed in the examination hall only on the condition if carried in a transparent bottle
