VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) has been ranked as the Best Innovative Private Institution in India as per ARIIA Rankings 2019. Chancellor of VIT, Dr. G. Viswanathan received the award from the Honourable President of India on April 08, 2019.
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) achieved a significant milestone by securing the first rank in Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2019 . VIT has bagged the first spot in the Best Innovative Private Institute category. The rankings were recently announced by MHRD, and President of India, Ram Nath Kovind awarded the Best Innovative Private Institution Award to VIT.
Chancellor of VIT, Dr. G. Viswanathan received the award from the Honourable President of India on April 08, 2019. ARIIA 2019 rankings featured the list of 10 best innovative government institutes and five private innovative institutes.
Apart from the impressive performance in ARIIA Rankings 2019, VIT has shown an impressive performance in NIRF Rankings 2019. VIT has bagged 18 th rank in the engineering category and 19 th rank in universities category. For the fourth time consecutively, VIT has shown an outstanding performance in NIRF Rankings.
Apart from NIRF and ARIIA Rankings, VIT has featured in global rankings such as QS World University Rankings 2019. Computer Science and Information Systems, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Chemistry subjects of VIT featured in QS World University Rankings.

The performance of VIT in various rankings clearly indicates that the Vellore-based institute has been given good emphasis to research and innovative activities. On the other hand, VIT made the country proud by making its presence in world rankings. VIT is aiming to achieve more milestones in future.
