VTU Semester Exams Postponed:
Visvesvaraya Technological University has postponed all semester end and special exams that are scheduled to be conducted on September 29 due to Bangalore Bandh. On September 29, a state-wide bandh is being observed over the Cauvery water issue. Considering the disruption in public transportation services, various universities in Karnataka have already postponed the exams scheduled on September 29 and VTU is no exception.
The official notification released by VTU states that ‘All semester end exams and special exams that are scheduled to be conducted on September 29 for UG and PG courses. These exams will now be conducted on September 30 for UG courses and October 10 for PG courses’. The students must make a note of the new exam date.

Apart from VTU, Bangalore University, Vijayanagara University and Mysore University have postponed the exams scheduled on September 29. The revised dates for the exams have also been released.

Various associations have extended their support to Karnataka Bandh on September 29 resulting to the disruption of public services. All essential services like hospitals, banks and pharmacies shall work as usual. Various software companies have informed their employees to work from home. Old and Uber have also decided to extend their support for bandh, and these services will be shut down on September 29.
