The exact date is yet to be announced, however, based on the previous year’s trend, it is expected to be out after JoSAA Round 1 concludes. Since JoSAA Round 1 will end on June 27, 2024, candidates can expect the counselling session to begin after the same. It is most likely to begin on or by the first week of July 2024.

WBJEE Counselling 2024 will be held for those candidates who have passed the examination and want to take admission to B.Tech courses in the participating colleges. The counselling will mainly be held in three rounds. After each counselling session, the vacant seats will be filled in the next round, and so on. Within each round, choice filling, and choice locking, followed by seat allotment events will be conducted. The seat allotment will be done based on the preferences marked by the candidates, availability of seats, and rank obtained in the WBJEE 2024 examination. Candidates will have the option to either confirm their seats for admission to the allotted college or choose other options to upgrade their seats or quit the counselling rounds.
