Will JEE Main April 2023 (Session 2) exam be postponed?

JEE Main April 2023: Even when the postponement demand for the first session of JEE Main 2023 was going on, students had been asking to move JEE Main April session to May/June. Now that the first session was not postponed and there are board examinations throughout the months of February-March, candidates have again begun demanding the postponement of the final April attempt.

Moreover, the National Testing Agency was supposed to release JEE Main 2023 Session 2 application form on February 7 but it has not done so even as the third of February has commenced. So can JEE Main April 2023 be postponed?

Will JEE Main April 2023 (Session 2) exam be postponed?

The following pointers show the chances of JEE Main April 2023 postponement:

• For the first session, NTA closed the application correction window on January 14 and the exam was conducted as scheduled on January 24. Hence, even if JEE Main session 2 application form closing is delayed even until the third week of March, the exam will not be delayed.
• A delay in the April attempt will also push forth the conduct of JEE Advanced, thus again delaying the counselling and admission process, ultimately affecting the academic schedules.
• Furthermore, if the April attempt is delayed, multiple state-level engineering entrance examinations will be delayed, thus again causing delayed academic sessions in many states.
• Also, when considering board examinations, only those subjects will be taken into account which the candidate has to attempt, namely language, PCMB, or an optional subject. Even if such clashes are found, their individual exam will be rescheduled to an earlier or a later date. It was done so for the Bihar Board students in January attempt who had their Maths exam and JEE Main both on February 1.

Hence, more likely than not, JEE Main 2023 April session will not be postponed just as the first session was not postponed.
