Mechanical engineering is known as the evergreen branch among all the other branches of engineering. Traditionally, mechanical engineers have to deal with concepts such as mechanics, thermodynamics, robotics, kinematics, structural analysis, fluid mechanics with their applications in Automotive Sector, Power Sector, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Sector, Aerospace. Now a days the scope of mechanical engineering is expanding beyond its traditional boundaries and is more of inter disciplinary in nature. Mechanical engineers are focusing their attention towards new areas such as nanotechnology, development of composite materials, biomedical applications, and environmental conservation. With this shift in paradigm the new job avenues have been opened for the mechanical engineers. Big players are going to setup their manufacturing plants in India. Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering, dating back to when the first wheels were put to practical use by mounting them on an axle to make a cart. Throughout recorded history, people have been inventing and building increasingly more sophisticated devices and machines in order to improve the conditions of life. As per my understanding, Following are the Private Engineering Colleges in North India:- Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Pilani. Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra. VIT Bhopal University. SRM University Sonepat. Amity University Noida. Geeta University Nirma University of Science and Technology.

The test conducted for scholarship and admission to various programs at LPU is called LPUNEST. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. Don't be scared, the syllabus of LPUNEST is all that you have studied in your previous qualification? In addition to it, there are questions of reasoning, verbal ability, analytical ability are also there. LPUNEST is a proctored exam and questions are asked in the form of MCQs. The result is displayed on the dashboard of the student after 24 hrs. One gets two chances of attempting LPUNEST. The best of the two results will be applicable for a scholarship. One has to register oneself with the university and pay online for taking LPUNEST. The application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR). One can get the test altered and can avail a second chance as well.
