Hi Anoop,
If you look at the demographics of MBA students, at least 50% of MBA aspirants are from the Engineering background. So it is perfectly fine if you wish to do an MBA. But what we want to ask you is do you want to study management? Or are you opting for MBA right after Engineering, just because the whole world is doing so?
If that is the case, then we will suggest you against it. See, MBA trains you to be an efficient manager. With your technological skills that you have developed while studying B. Tech, it is just a gradual progression in your career. But if you wish to implement whatever you have learned during your B. Tech, then we suggest that you work for 1-2 years and then do your MBA.
However, if you are sure that Mechanical engineering is not your cup of tea, then, please go ahead with MBA. Some of the most popular MBA exams that you will need to take include: CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, GMAT & some other exams that are mandatory for admission to premier MBA colleges in India.
