Admission for college - engineering : If I get low marks in jee but I score well in 12th rbse exam then I get good college or not??

Engineering admissions are mostly based on JEE ranks. This year, CBSE made changes in the calculation of JEE Mains ranks, as follows:

• Class 12th marks, this year, will not be given any weightage in the calculation of JEE Mains 2017 ranks.
• The aspirants who wish to seek admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, National Institutes of Technology and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (IITs/IIITs/NITs/CFTIs), should have secured an aggregate of at lease 75% marks in the main class 12th examinations or should be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by various Boards across the country. The criteria has been relaxed up to 65% for candidates belong to the ST and SC categories.

However, we suggest that once the JEE Mains score is out, there will be a variety of college options for you.
