The LPU Design programs are designed and delivered with an objective of wholesome development of students. Innovative Pedagogy: Emphasis on case studies and Case based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. Co-Curricular & Extra Curricular Activities: Students participates campus and out campus competitions are held frequently. Conferences and workshops: International conference NICHE held. Principle aim was to examine and observe how we can shift towards welfare and equity within habitable environment. The conference drew a National and International academicians, professionals, developers, environmentalists, students and policy makers for Habitable Environment. Workshops are being conducted by experts. Faculty: Highly experienced faculty mostly with industry exposure engaged in consultancy and research to add immense value to the academic life. Placement: 100% placements are done every year in reputed firms. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam). Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent, subject to valid score in LPUNEST or Qualifying UCEED (5562 Rank) . In case marks scored in 10+2 are 70% or above, then LPUNEST and UCEED will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants). Interior Furniture Design And Product Industrial Design Students During Experiential Learning Week. Students are exposed to real work on-site situations /live design projects in–house and external visits. Skill Oriented And Application Based Teaching Intensive exposure to practical work in Carpentry workshop, metal workshop, laser cutter machines for model making and clay and ceramics workshop.

The focus of the B Interior Design programme at LPU is on providing a professional degree offering skills in practical interior design and execution and full-scale furniture design and fabrication through rigorous studio work and hands-on workshops. Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST//UCEED/ NIFT Entrance Exam/ NID DAT. Both the institutes are the best in terms of quality education that is offered in B.Des Interior Design course. LPU is the largest private university in India with outstanding infrastructural facilities. Similarly, ICAT Bangalore is also one of the best institutes for Interior Designing course.
