Dear Student,
Both Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Commerce (MCom) are good choices of courses after a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree.
While an MBA is a management-based course and will prepare you for administrative roles in businesses, an MCom is a technical course and will prepare you for a career in core Finance and Commerce related areas.
An MBA is a good choice of course if you wish to join the industry as a management professional. The course promises high salaries but only if you complete it from a reputed college. You also have to keep in mind that an MBA is an expensive course.
An MCom would be a good choice of course if you wish to pursue Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) course as the MCom curriculum will help you study for both of these courses. MCom is also suited for students who wish to take up academics or research in related fields.
Check our article on MBA vs MCom for detailed information. Ultimately, the choice between the two courses and the better course will depend on the type of career you wish to pursue.
Please feel free to write back if you need any more information.
Thank you.
