If you wish to pursue B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, then you will need to decide the engineering college that you wish to pursue the course in. Once the college has been decided, you will also need to decide the undergraduate engineering entrance examination that you wish to attempt. You will be required to attempt at one engineering entrance exam in order to pursue B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. There are many National and State level engineering exams that you can attempt in order to pursue the programme. The most common engineering programme in India is the Joint Entrance Exam or JEE Mains. You will require a JEE Mains score to take admission to one of the engineering colleges in India. Some colleges also take admission based on their own entrance test.

You will need to sit for the engineering entrance examination that is accepted by the engineering college of your choice.
