Is it allowed to leave the NLU Bangalore campus on weekends provided we come back by 6:00 p.m.? Also, if we are allowed,does it require guardian's permission?

Dear student,

The rules for leaving the National Law School of India University, Bangalore campus are different for graduate and undergraduate students. Check the details of regulations regarding leaving NLU Bangalore campus below.

These are the rules that apply for graduate students:

  • The students may leave and enter the campus by swiping their JGU ID card or through the biometric system.
  • It is mandatory for all students to return to the campus by 11:00 p.m.
  • Students are not allowed to bring back any item that is prohibited on the campus of NLU Bangalore.
  • The students are allowed to leave the campus on weekends but they must abide by the other regulations listed above.

The following rules are set for undergraduate students:

  • The undergraduate students of NLU Bangalore are allowed to go out of campus by obtaining a Gate Pass that is approved via an automated call to their parents through an IVR system.
  • The students are entitled to two Day Gate Passes and four Weekend Gate Passes. The Gate Pass will be approved with the consent of the parents on an IVR.
  • All the students have to return to the campus before 10:00 p.m.
  • Students must not bring back any item that is prohibited on the university campus.
