Dear Student,

The eligibility criteria for admission to the Master of Social Work (MSW) is as given below.

  • The candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree in a relevant stream.
  • Some colleges only offer admission to candidates who have a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree.

  • Candidates who hold a bachelor's degree in any of Humanities / Management / Social Sciences / Commerce / Science streams may also be considered eligible.

  • Colleges may also specify a minimum percentage requirement (generally of 50% aggregate) for admission.

  • Admission to MSW courses is done either on the basis of merit in qualifying course or on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the college.
