1. Current Affairs
Students have to be updated with current affairs event as 50% of any GK section is going to be current affairs. Go through national newspapers regularly but it will be good if you revise before the exam last 1-year current affairs.
2. Event Dates
Go through all important and famous meals, historical events, important days and International days. Do expect questions on the important events in India and the world.
3. Geography
Study on physical geography like important Rivers, Dams, places of importance in the states, boundaries of different states, lakes, mountains, locations of the all the state of India and all the countries of the world in the map very important. Human geography is also equally important.
4. Politics
Names of all the Chief Ministers, Governors, Union Minsters, Head of the states of NATO Countries, political parties in India and their symbols should be on the lips of the students. Constitution of India, the political history of the country before independence is also very important.
5. History
Divide the history of India into three parts- Ancient India, Medical India, and Modern India and read them in details. The history of freedom struggle of India is very important but if you read Freedom Struggle of America, French, Russia and some of the African Countries it would be another added advantage.
6. Sports Games
Questions on sports are picking up these days. Do expect a few questions on famous cups and trophies, important players and sports equipment’s associated with particular games. History of Olympic Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, SAARC Games and all the national sports events a must read
7. India: An Overview
All the important Indian festivals celebrated in different states, names of different tribes that live in different parts of Indian subcontinents. The different dance forms, cultures, customs, food habits, the language of the different regions, ethnic people etc. where questions are asked frequently.
8. Famous Personalities
Important personalities like Nobel Prize winners, Sahitya Academy Award winners, All the Padma Awardees by Government of India, Chronological List of Bharat Ratna Awardees, Booker prize and Magsaysay award winners’ names should be on tips for the exams. Knowing the names of the famous present painters, sculptors, litterateurs, Historian would be another added advantage.
9. Books and Authors
Examiner looks for cult books whose names are long forgotten by us. Famous authors and their books. Must read the lists of books of top Indian and foreign authors.
10. Economy Business
Taglines, logos and headquarters are few of the must read topics within economy. Knowledge of commerce, famous business personalities or Brand associated with which country. Etc very important
