Aspirants must meet the Andhra Pradesh M.Sc Nursing eligibility criteria 2024 mentioned below in order to pursue the M.Sc nursing course at one of the affiliated colleges of Dr NTR University of Health Sciences.

Age

  • As of December 31, 2020, neither service nor non-service applicants must be 45 years old.

  • The maximum age limit for candidates from SC and ST categories is 48 years.

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in B.Sc Nursing /B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) from an Indian Nursing Council-approved institution.

  • 5% relaxation of marks will be given to SC and ST candidates

Nationality

  • Candidates must be Indian National with either a local or non-local status.

Gender

  • Both men and women are eligible to apply for M.Sc Nursing.

Experience

  • For Service Candidates:
  • Must be a regular employee of the Government of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana with at least 5 years of service in any Department of Nursing.
  • For Non-Service Candidates:
  • After registering for a B.Sc Nursing, the applicant must have worked for at least one year.

  • Before registering for Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) courses, the applicant must have at least one year of work experience.

Registration

  • For both Service and Non - Service candidates, the applicant must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with the Indian Nursing Council.

The following are the instructions for completing the Andhra Pradesh M.Sc Nursing application form.

  • To apply, applicants need to visit the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences official website

  • Candidates must first register with the university to access the application form.

  • After successful registration authorities will send login credentials to the applicants by mail on the registered email ID

  • With the help of the login credentials, applicants need to log in and fill up the application form

  • Candidates must submit personal information, contact details, educational qualifications, course-related information, and other information when filling out the application form.

  • Once all the details are filled in properly applicants also need to upload a scanned image of the photograph and signature in a specified size and format mentioned on the official website

The following is a list of documents necessary for Andhra Pradesh M.Sc Nursing admissions.

  • Passed Graduation Certificate- B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/ Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) Degree

  • Mark Sheet of B.Sc (Nursing) / Post Basic Nursing from 1st to Final year

  • Date of Birth Certificate or equivalent certificates such as Class 10th Certificate

  • One-year experience certificate

  • Service Certificate (for Service Candidates)

  • Class 12th Certificate

  • Category Certificate for SC/ST (If Applicable)

  • 10- Passport Size Coloured Photograph

  • Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applied under the quota)

Andhra Pradesh M.Sc Nursing Merit List 2024

The selection committee will choose candidates based on their performance on the merit list. The merit list will be compiled using the marks scored in the state level entrance examination for the Andhra Pradesh MSc Nursing Admission 2024.

The Merit List will be generated based on Group subjects, and candidates should provide their total marks, excluding English and Computer Science marks, when filling out the online application.

In case of equality/ same marks, the age of candidates will be taken into consideration and older candidates shall be given higher places in the merit list.

Andhra Pradesh M.Sc Nursing Counselling Process 2024

Candidates will be shortlisted for Andhra Pradesh M.Sc counselling by calculating their merit based on their previous academic records. In other words, the candidates' merit will be determined by their combined UG scores as well as their years of experience. Candidates will be rated on merit lists based on these characteristics, which will be used to call the shortlisted candidates for counselling rounds, which will be conducted in rounds. Counselling sessions will be conducted as follows, according to the admissions guidelines:

  • Dr. NTR University Of Health Sciences will issue a notice for online seat allotments or Web Counseling.

  • Candidates will be called for counselling sessions in batches once the merit lists have been released.

  • Candidates will be called to choose a college from a list depending on their ranking and available seats.

  • It is important to note that the choices made throughout the counselling process are final, and no modifications will be considered later under any circumstances.

  • If the candidate is unsatisfied with the option that has been given to them, reallotment of colleges will be done in the 2nd round of counselling.

  • All candidates who are attending the counselling procedure in person must bring all original documents verifying their admissions eligibility.
