Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has furthermore revised the exam pattern for Class 10 (Matric) 2022 students in addition to the changes made in 2020 to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic situation. What’s New in Bihar Board Class 10 (Matric) Exam Pattern 2022?
Given the COVID-19 pandemic persisting its way into 2022 and subsequent shutting of schools, not only the Bihar Board has decided to cut down its syllabus by 30% but also to change their exam pattern to make the examination easier for the students.
There are three major changes for Bihar Board Class 10 2022 Exam:
- 50% of the paper will contain objective type questions for both practical and non-practical subjects.
- Upon a failure in one of the compulsory subjects, Bihar Board 2022 will consider an optional subject in its stead to pass the student.
- In Language Paper-I, students must choose between Hindi or English as their first language; while in Language Paper-II, students are allowed to choose any of the given 12 languages as a second language except for the language already chosen for Language Paper-I.

For non-practical subjects: If more than 50 Objective Type Questions are answered, only the first 50 questions will be evaluated regardless of whether they are correct or not.
For practical subjects: If more than 40 Objective Type Questions are answered, only the first 40 questions will be evaluated regardless of whether they are correct or not.
OMR Instructions for Bihar Board Class 10 (Matric) Exam 2022
Along with knowing the exam pattern, it is also very crucial to know that all Objective Type Questions for Bihar Board Class 10 Exam 2022 will be carried out via an OMR sheet. This OMR sheet will be checked by computerized mechanisms which emphasize the importance of instructions regarding the handling and use of OMR sheets. They are as stated below:
- Use only a black or blue ballpoint pen to darken the circles on the OMR Answer sheet. Do not use a gel pen or a pencil.
- Do not use whitener, liquid, nail, or blade on the OMR sheet or else the answer will be considered invalid.
- Enter the Question Booklet Serial Number (10 digits) on the OMR Answer sheet for it to be considered valid.
