How Many Attempts for BITSAT:
BITSAT offers flexibility in the number of attempts you can make. As per the current guidelines you are permitted to appear for BITSAT twice a year, once you have passed the 12th Board examination. These attempts can be in consecutive years or different years. However, we advise you to take it in the year you passed your 10+2 exam or the following year to avoid any gaps. The BITSAT exam is conducted in two sessions each year and you can choose to appear in one or both sessions. The higher score of the two sessions will be considered for admission. The first session of the BITSAT will be conducted from May 26 to 30, 2025, and the second session will be held from June 22 to 26, 2025. And these two sessions will tell you how you should improve your scores especially if you are not satisfied with BITSAT first attempt. Benefits of Taking BITSAT 2025 in Two Sessions
The BITSAT 2025 exam is scheduled to have two sessions. The two-session format offers you different types of benefits. The clear separation of sessions creates a better understanding of the examination and enhances the overall experience of the exam.
1. Increased Flexibility
If for some reason you are unable to perform your best in the first session you still have the chance to retake the exam in the second session. This flexibility ensures that you do not lose your opportunity for admission just because of the uncertainty of BITSAT first attempt.
2. Increased Chance of Scoring Higher
Taking both sessions of BITSAT gives you a chance to improve your score. Suppose your performance is better in the second session of the BITSAT exam, the exam authority will consider a higher score for your admission, which will enhance your chances of getting into your desired program.
3. Time for Self-Assessment
You can consider the first session of BITSAT as a practice exam to gauge your performance; it will give you a scope for self-assessment for the second session. With the experience of the first attempt in BITSAT, you can identify your weak areas, manage your time better and focus on refining your skills before the second session exam.
4. Less Stressful Experience
A second attempt in BITSAT can reduce stress and anxiety before the exam. Since you would have already experienced the computer-based, time-bound exam environment the first time, you will be better prepared and know what to expect in the exam hall at BITSAT second attempt. You can accordingly plan your mindset to achieve the best score in the exam.
5. Familiarity with the Exam Format
Appearing for the exam twice allows you to get comfortable with the test format, question pattern and topics asked. This familiarity can help you remain calm and confident for your second session and improve your performance.
6. Opportunity for Strategy Refinement
After the first session you can assess your strategy – how you approached different sections, how much time you spent on each question and your accuracy. This helps you refine your approach and adjust for the second session to maximize your efficiency.
