The score is based on six parameters, including a net benefit to total assets, an absolute labour supply cost added to the cost of goods produced or services rendered, PBDIT (Profit before depreciation, premium, and assessments) to capital employed, PBDIT to turnover, EPS (Earnings per Share), and sectoral performance. Additionally, before becoming a Navratna, a company must first be a Miniratna and have four independent heads on its board. The Navratna status grants benefits to increase financial and functional independence and commits to contributing up to Rs. 1000 crores or 15% of their entire assets to a single enterprise without seeking government approval. These organisations are permitted to spend up to 30% of their annual total assets, but not more than Rs. 1000 crores. Additionally, they will have the chance to form coalitions, engage in collaborative ventures, and send auxiliary units abroad.

BPCL Recruitment through GATE 2022: Eligibility

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) degree from an Indian university or institute that has received AICTE/UGC accreditation.
  • A minimum of 60% is required for applicants in the general and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer/NCL) categories.
  • Candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) must obtain a minimum of 50%.
  • Candidates from the General and OBC (NCL) categories who are in their last year of engineering are required to have a minimum of 60% (in aggregate up to the last semester) marks; this requirement can be decreased to 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
  • Candidates must have earned a degree on their first attempt.
  • The role is not open to applicants with integrated courses or programmes lasting five years or more.
  • Courses offered by autonomous institutions should be comparable to those recognized/approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the UGC, and the AICTE.
  • Application is also welcomed from candidates who are in their final year of engineering study. To be picked for an interview, you must, however, meet all of the qualifying requirements in terms of educational background, percentage of marks, age, and so forth. You must also present documentary evidence that you passed the degree examination with the necessary percentage of marks.

Medical Standard

  • Candidates who have been provisionally selected by BPCL must successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination before beginning work.
  • If present, myopia and hypermetropia (vision) should fall between the permissible ranges of (-) 6.00 and (+) 4.00.
  • Squinting or colour blindness, whether partial or total, are never acceptable.

BPCL Recruitment 2023 Selection Procedure

  • GATE 2023 scores are used to shortlist candidates.
  • After being shortlisted, candidates are selected for group discussions, other selection methodologies, and personal interviews.
  • The Pre-Employment Medical Examination's Medical Fitness section will be used to make the final choice.
  • In addition to the aforementioned methods of short-listing, psychometric tests and/or any other selection tools/tests may be taken into consideration at the preliminary stage, at the sole discretion of the management.

BPCL Application Process 2023

  • The GATE 2023 test is required of graduate engineers in the following disciplines who want to work for BPCL.

BPCL Management Trainee Salary

  • With a starting salary of Rs. 24,900/-, candidates hired as "Management Trainees" are often assigned to Job Group "A." (Pay Scale Rs. 24,900 & Rs. 50,500). Dearness Allowance (DA) is also paid in accordance with the IDA schedule.
  • If applicable, house rent assistance will differ according to the city of posting's class. The total annual salary for entry-level employees in Job Group "A" is now Rs. 14.1 lakhs.
  • These advantages include superannuation benefits at 30% of basic plus DA, performance-related pay worth 30% of basic plus DA, and perks and allowances at 50% of basic pay (Provident Fund, Gratuity & New Pension Scheme).

BPCL Management Trainee Job Profile

  • Candidates identified as "Management Trainees" would typically be on Probation for one year (extendable in case of non-satisfactory performance), and would be confirmed as "Executives" in the specific business unit/entity upon successfully completing the probationary period.
  • Candidates may be placed anywhere in the nation in any of BPCL's businesses, facilities, or offices, including any joint ventures or subsidiaries that are already active or that will be soon. They may also be placed in deputation positions with other organisations.
