On July 28, 2024, NTA announced the CUET UG 2024 results, paving the way for Delhi University's 2024 Btech admission through CUET. Candidates may apply for CUET 2024 to ensure a spot in Delhi University's B.Tech program. For more information, read this article.



 
BTech Admissions Through CUET 2024

BTech admissions through CUET 2024: Did you know? Even if you haven’t scored well in JEE Main, you can now apply for CUET 2024 to get admission to BTech courses in India. To secure a seat in BTech programe at DU, candidates must clear the CUET UG 2024 exam. On July 28, 2024, the NTA released the CUET UG 2024 results on its official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. Download CUET results to check your B.Tech score at Delhi University. Following the release of the results, the participating universities or colleges that offer BTech admission through CUET will soon begin the counselling process. The university's official website will soon include a link for application registration. Only qualified applicants may register. The merit list will be released following registration.

Through the exam, candidates are shortlisted for admission to various UG programs including BTech programs at 45 Central Universities of India. Even though JEE Main 2024 is the main exam for admission to Engineering programmes, candidates can also get admission to BTech through CUET 2024. The central universities in India are now considering CUET scores for admission to BTech courses.

Is CUET for Engineering?

CUET is conducted for admission to UG and PG courses at central universities of India. However, one question which rises in many aspirants' minds is that is CUET for Engineering? Even though most of institutes/ universities in India accept admission to BTech programs through JEE Main, Central Universities in India have started taking admission on the basis of CUET also. This means even if candidates do not have a valid score in JEE Main, they can get admission to Engineering programmes through CUET also. So, yes CUET is also for Engineering.

How to Get BTech Admissions Through CUET 2024?

Central Universities will start BTech Admissions Through CUET 2024 after the result declaration. Candidates who qualify for CUET 2024 will have to fill out the application form for their respective colleges. The CUET 2024 merit list will be released by each university separately on the official website. Candidates who have their names in the merit list will be allotted ranks based on their performance. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of ranks secured by candidates. Further, selected candidates will have to visit the college where they have secured admission, submit documents for verification, and pay the application fee to confirm their seats.

CUET 2024 Counselling Process

BTech Admissions Through CUET 2024 will be done through the counselling process which will have the following stages:

  • Candidates who have secured a rank in CUET 2024 merit list will be called for the online counselling process.
  • Candidates will also have to register for the CUET 2024 Counselling Process as a mandatory process.
  • Initially, an online counselling process will be conducted. After that, selected candidates will have to appear for offline counselling.
  • Further, selected candidates will have to visit the college where they have secured admission, submit documents for verification, and pay the application fee to confirm their seats.
  • If the seats remain vacant after couselling process, CUET spot counselling will be conducted. Candidates who haven't secured a seat in the counselling process can apply for the spot round.
