- The exam pattern of Slot 3 was quite similar to the CAT 2024 Slot 1 and easier than CAT 2023 and CAT 2024 Slots 1 & 2.
- No questions from Parajumbles were found in Slot 3 as well. Para completion questions replaced Para jumbles.
- In the VARC section, the difficulty level of Slot 3 was lower than CAT 2024 Slots 1 & 2. 2-3 sets in this section were doable and all the passages were easy to read. However, some options were closely related. The first 5 questions were all VA questions and 2 questions were non-MCQs or TITA questions.
- The difficulty level of the DILR section ranged from moderate to difficult. There were 5 sets each containing 4 to 5 questions.

For CAT 2021, the overall level of difficulty was moderate. In the CAT 2021, a total raw score of between 97 and 99 was sufficient to achieve the 99%ile.
