As per the expected CAT weightage chart 2024, 34% of questions will be asked from Quantitative Aptitude, 16% from Data Interpretation, 16% from Logical Reasoning, 24% from Reading Comprehension, and 10% from Verbal Ability section.
CAT Weightage Chart 2024

CAT weightage chart 2024 refers to the topic-wise distribution of questions in each section: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. This year, the expected CAT weightage for QA is 34%, DI is 16%, LR is 16%, RC is 24%, and VA is 10%. According to last year's data, Arithmetic and Algebra accounted for approximately 65% of the quantitative section in the exam. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) together held a weightage of 32%, with each contributing 16%. In the VARC (Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension) section, Reading Comprehension held a weightage twice that of Verbal Ability. CAT 2024 will have a total of 66 questions, with VARC having 24, DILR having 20, and QA having 22. IIM Calcutta will conduct the exam this year on November 24, 2024, in three slots.
