Among the popular admission processes that are adopted by medical and nursing colleges in Delhi include either entrance-test based admissions or merit-based admissions. In both cases, candidates will partake in selection processes unique to individual colleges and their requirements.

Check out the Delhi B.Sc Nursing admission processes opted by the top nursing colleges in Delhi.

Entrance-Based Admissions:-

  • The more common of the admission processes, colleges or institutions will conduct a university-level entrance test or accept NEET and AIIMS BSc Nursing marks to provide admissions to the B.Sc Nursing degree to aspiring nurses of the future.

  • After attempting the relevant entrance exam, the respective college will release merit lists containing the names of all candidates who partook in the entrance test along with their scores and ranks.

  • Based on their ranks and scores, candidates will be asked to participate in further selection processes, such as a personal interview and/or group discussion.

  • The overall performance of the candidates in the different selection parameters such as the entrance test, past academic record, and performance in the personal interview and/or group discussion, the concerned college or institution will select the prospective students for the B.Sc Nursing course in Delhi.

  • After applying within the stipulated date and time, the respective colleges or institutions will release merit-lists containing the names of the applicants and their ranks, which would have been calculated based on their qualifying marks.

  • The college or institution offering admissions will then call the prospective students to participate in the institute-specific selection processes, which may include a Personal Interview and/or Group discussion.

  • Depending on the performance of the candidates in these selection parameters, such as the past academic record and the personal interview and/or group discussion, admissions will be offered to the prospective students.

Counselling-based Selections for B.Sc Nursing Courses in Delhi

  • A common selection process opted by the many colleges in India is a counselling-based selection to the different courses. In Delhi, institutions like AIIMS offer admissions based on counselling rounds.

  • This selection process is applicable under both entrance-based admissions and merit-based admissions.

  • In Entrance-based admissions, the authority will release merit lists containing the names of the candidates and their respective ranks and scores obtained in the entrance test.

  • In Merit-Based admissions, the institutions will publish merit lists containing the names of all applicants and their ranks, calculated using the qualifying marks obtained by them.

  • Under both circumstances, each candidate will be asked to participate in counselling rounds in the order of merit, as mentioned in the merit-lists.

  • During the counselling rounds, the candidates will be asked to choose their preferred choice of college and course.

  • Depending on the ranks of the candidates as per the merit lists, the preferred choice of college and course, and availability of seats in the respective choices, the prospective students will be offered admissions.

Note: Each college will specify its requirements for admission to the B.Sc Nursing course. Therefore, it is advisable to check the admission guidelines and processes before applying for admission at the college of your choice.
