CCMT vs COAP Counselling Process
COAP GATE Counseling 2024
Candidates are required to register online on the GATE COAP 2024 official website in order to participate in the M. Tech course admission rounds. Some of the key features of the counselling process that can secure candidates admission into various M.Tech courses at IITs are as follows:
- GATE COAP is the common platform where all the participating IITs upload offer letters in a common time window
- COAP allows institutes to offer admission based on GATE results and accept applications from candidates
- Candidates registering on the COAP will have access to admission/job offers from all participating institutes / PSUs where they have applied for M.Tech admissions/jobs
- COAP is not an application portal, but rather an online counselling platform. For this reason, candidates should apply independently to their desired institutes for admission via GATE counselling
CCMT GATE 2024 Counselling
Candidates can secure admissions into M.Tech, M.Arch, or M.Plan programmes offered at NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, IIEST Shibpur, and CFTIs based on GATE counselling 2024 through CCMT (Centralized Counselling for MTech).
- Along with online registration on the CCMT website, candidates must fill out their course/college preferences during registration
- Each candidate is assigned a seat based on their rank, choices filled, and the availability of seats
- After a seat has been allocated, candidates are required to confirm their seat by submitting a seat acceptance fee. Candidates must also report to the reporting centre for document verification and then report to their allotted college and pay the admission fee

Such candidates will not be considered for additional offers rejected in the current round. In case a better preference is offered to him/her, then the existing 'Retain and Wait' offer will be released
