GATE Application Form:
IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE application form correction process from
November 20 to 24.
IISc Bangalore had also released the GATE New two-paper combination on its official website on November 11. Using this facility, candidates could log in through the GOAPS portal to edit/add the second paper subject till
November 17
. The authorities will conduct the
GATE
exam on
February 3, 4, 10 and 11
in online mode for a total of 30 papers.

Earlier, GATE Registration without a late fee was closed on October 12 . However, applicants could fill out and submit the application form for GATE by October 20 , by paying the late fee.
The steps involved in submitting the
GATE application form
are registering, filling out the application form, uploading your supporting documents, and paying the application fee for GATE. Before submitting the GATE registration form, candidates must confirm that they meet the qualifying requirements.
GATE admit card
will only be released for those applicants who successfully registered for GATE before the deadline.

List of Documents Required While Applying for GATE

Education Qualification Documents | Qualifying degree mark sheets have to be submitted by the applicants. Qualifying degree final year appearing candidates can provide their previous semester exam mark sheet. Provisional mark sheet of those applicants will be accepted who have passed their qualifying degree exam and are still awaiting their degree certificates |
Photo Identity | GATE applicants have to be in possession of either of the following documents -

Category Certificate (for SC/ST category candidates) | SC/ST category candidates applying for GATE have to submit the necessary proof that will categorise them under the “Application Fee Concession” category. The same documents have to be submitted by the candidates during the final admission process as well. The category certificate has to be signed by a competent authority otherwise it will not be accepted by the officials |
Person with Disabilities (PwD) Certificate | PwD category candidates applying for GATE have to submit the necessary proof that will categorize them under the “Application Fee Concession” category. Candidates with a disability of over 40% will be given priority. The PwD certificate has to be issued by a competent authority to be deemed acceptable |
Dyslexia Certificate | Dyslexic candidates have to submit a certificate issued by a competent authority to avail the services of a scribe, which will be provided by the GATE officials |
Signature and Photograph | While filling out the online GATE registration form, the applicants have to make sure that the scanned version of these documents has to fulfil the specifications to avoid the cancellation of the application form. In such a scenario, the GATE application fee will also not be refunded to the applicants |
Others | Jammu and Kashmir candidates' declaration (candidates who are unable to obtain documents due to restrictions in the region). Specifications of a valid identification document (the same ID, in original, should be carried to the examination hall). Details for fee payment by net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. |
Authorities Certified to Issue Caste/PwD/Dyslexic Certificates
Applicants belonging to the SC/ST category must ensure that their caste/PwD/Dyslexic certificates bear the seal of any of the following authorities -
Caste Certificate Issuing Authority
- District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/ Additional Deputy Commissioner/ 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ City Magistrate/ Sub-divisional Magistrate/ Taluk Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner
- Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate
- Revenue Officer not below the rank of Talsildar
- Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the Candidate and/or her/his family normally resides
- Administrator/ Secretary to Administrator/ Development Officer (Lakshadweep Islands) Certificate issued by any other official will NOT be accepted.
PwD Certificate Issuing Authority
In order to avail of application fee concession under the PwD category, the candidates should attach a recently obtained proper PwD certificate, which is required to be submitted to the admitting institution at the time of admission. Benefits would be given to those who have a minimum 40% impairment irrespective of the type of disability. The onus of verifying the PwD certificate lies with the admitting institute. The GATE committee is NOT responsible for any incorrect declaration of the PwD status of candidates.
Dyslexia Certificate Issuing Authority
A copy of the certificate of Dsylexic condition should be uploaded at the time of online registration to avail of the services of the scribe. Such a certificate of dyslexia will be obtained from any Dyslexia Association. Some of them are listed below:
