Exam Day Guidelines For UPES MET 2022

The UPES MET 2022 exam Phase 9 was scheduled for August 27, 2022. The registration process for Phase 9 started on August 16, 2022, and ended on August 26, 2022. It will be conducted through online mode due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The exam will be held in slots as per the choice of the candidates appearing, which is why a window of three days is given. The exam duration of the UPES MET 2022 will be 2 hours, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The UPES Management Entrance Test is conducted by the UPES Dehradun for admissions to management or MBA programmes. Candidates must refer to the Exam Pattern , Syllabus, and Best Books for preparation for the UPES MET 2022 exams.

Since the exam will be conducted through Online Proctored Mode, candidates must be aware of the rules and regulations to follow. Candidates will receive an email addressing the same/ However, here is the list of Dos and Don’ts for the exam day. Any candidates who don’t comply with the rules may be disqualified from the exams. Basic Requirements for UPES MET 2022

Since UPES MET 2022 will be held through Online Protocred Mode, some basic requirements need to be fulfilled to appear for the exams.

  • Properly operational laptop or desktop.
  • The Operating System should be WINDOWS 7, WINDOWS 8, WINDOWS 8.1, or WINDOWS 10.
  • Connect the device with Broadband (Wired or wireless) - Uninterrupted Internet Connection.
  • Make sure to connect the Computer with a UPS or constant power supply.
  • Well connected microphone with speakers or wireless Bluetooth.
  • The webcam should be of HD quality or with clear vision. HD camcorder or HD cam with the video capture card.
  • Candidates must log in through Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for the exams only.

Things to Do on the Day of the Exam

Given below is a list of things that candidates must adhere to on the day of the exam

  • Appearing candidates will receive the login link in advance. They must log in a minimum of one hour before the scheduled exam time.
  • After login, candidates must mark their presence with their photo ID Card.
  • The Webcam/Video Recorder and Microphone/Bluetooth speakers should be on through the exams from the beginning till the end of the exam.
  • The webcam should be placed properly with a wholesome view of the room as well as a clear view of the candidate. The invigilator should be able to see the candidates clearly.
  • The sitting area or desk should be clean. There should not be any books or study materials.
  • Candidates are advised to read through the questions before answering them carefully. And if any candidate completes the exam before 2 hours, he/she must revise through the answers. The candidates must sit in their seats until the end of the exams.
  • During the exam, if there is any power cut or loss of internet connection, candidates must immediately contact the invigilator. Also for any technical hardships, the candidate must contact the invigilator or the authorities for assistance. If not, the exam may stand disqualified.

Things Not to Do on the Day of the Exam

Many candidates only focus on what to do during the exams. But there are also things one must not do during or before the exams on the exam day. To avoid  confusion, here are some of the things that candidates must strictly avoid during the UPES MET 2022 exams to avoid disqualification or cancellation of exams:

  • While appearing for the UPES MET 2022 exam, candidates must be seated alone in the room. No one should be present in the room apart from the candidate.
  • Candidates must avoid connecting through the mobile internet hotspot. It is unstable and carries a high chance of disconnection, which may lead to disqualification.
  • Only the Laptop or Desktop should be available. No other electronic gadgets are allowed during the exam. Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, electronic calculators, or even other books, notes, or study materials are not allowed.
  • Do not use headphones or earphones for the examination. Only speakers are allowed. So, avoid using any of these during the UPES MET 2022 exam.
  • Candidates must remain seated throughout the exam duration. Even if he/she completes the paper early, they are not allowed to leave the room or examination. They must seat through the entire exam duration.
  • Candidates must involve in any kind of cheating or malpractice during the examination. If caught, the examination will directly be disqualified and the candidature will be cancelled immediately.

Candidates must await the UPES MET 2022 result to be selected for the further selection process. It is estimated to take around 7-10 days for the results to be declared. Soon after the results, the Personal Interview rounds will be conducted based on the shortlist. Therefore candidates must prepare accordingly.
