DSSSB PGT 2020 Recruitment application process begins on the 14th of January 2020 where thousands of candidates will compete for a handful of seats vacant under the Directorate of Education. 

DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2020

The Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) has released an online notification on 06 January inviting applications for 710 PGT posts under the Directorate of Education. The application process will commence from January 14 onwards and the online application forms can be accessed via the official DSSSB website - dsssbonline.nic.in. The DSSSB PGT 2020 application form link will remain active until the 13th of February. Only online application forms will be accepted from the applicants.

All About DSSSB PGT

DSSSB PGT is a state-level exam conducted by DSSSB on behalf of the Government of NCT of Delhi for recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) in the vacant posts under the Directorate of Education. The DSSSB PGT selection process is divided into two stages - Tier I and Tier II exam along with a skill test round, i.e interview round. In addition to the recruitment of PGTs, DSSSB is also responsible for the recruitment of eligible candidates for various posts under the Government of NCT Delhi departments.

Educational Requirement for DSSSB PGT 2020

  • Masters degree in the concerned subject from a recognised University

  • Diploma/Degree in Education/Training

  • PhD degree in the concerned subject from a recognised Institution or University OR

  • First division in Postgraduate, Graduate and 10+2 level examination. Such candidates also have to produce a proof stating their intention of acquiring B.Ed or B.T qualification within three years of joining service

  • During the selection process, preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of three years of teaching experience in either of High School/Higher Secondary School/College

DSSSB PGT 2020 Recruitment: Age Limit and Relaxation

The candidates must not exceed the age of 36 to be eligible to apply for DSSSB PGT 2020 recruitment. In addition to it:

  • Contract and Guest Teachers - A maximum relaxation up to 5 years in age will be granted to those candidates who have already spent 6 months as a contractual employee in the same department during that particular year

  • Teaching in University - Those candidates who are currently teaching in a University will be granted a relaxation of 5 years in age

DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2020 Application Fee

  • The applicants have to submit INR 100/- as the DSSSB PGT 2020 recruitment application fee

  • The application fee will be non-refundable in nature

  • Ex-servicemen, PWD, ST, SC and female candidates do not have to pay the DSSSB PGT 2020 recruitment application fee

  • Re-employed ex-servicemen will not be eligible for concession of application fee

  • The candidates must submit their application fee only through SBI e-pay as application fee submitted via any other payment mode will not be recognised even if the amount is deducted from the account of the applicants
