Step-by-Step FMS Delhi Admission Process

Securing a good score in the Common Admission Test (CAT) is vital if you are aiming for admission to FMS Delhi. Shortlisting for Interview Process

In the selection process, a Weighted Score will be calculated. This score will consider three sections:

  • VARC (Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension) - 40%
  • DILR (Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning) - 30%
  • QA (Quantitative Ability) - 30%

For women candidates, an additional 5 marks will be added to their Weighted Score. This adjustment aims to support gender diversity in the interview process.

Announcement

Candidates who make it to the shortlist will receive notifications through email and the FMS website within a set timeframe following the application deadline.

  • Previously, the FMS held a Group Discussion (GD) round for the shortlisted candidates. However, FMS Delhi has made changes to its admission process for MBA 2024. Instead of GD, they now have a Discussion on Statement of Purpose (SoP). Previously, GD held a 10% weightage, but now it is replaced with SoP.
  • The MBA Personal Interview (PI) is another crucial step where candidates are assessed on their analytical prowess, problem-solving abilities, motivation, and alignment with the FMS program. Prepare to delve into your academic history, career aspirations, comprehension of the business landscape, and rationale behind choosing FMS.

Discussion on Statement of Purpose (SoP)/ Extempore Updates

  • Before the PI, there used to be a GD round, but now, Extempore, lasting 2-3 minutes, is included in the PI round.
  • For MBA admission 2024, FMS Delhi will no longer consider GD and will focus on SoP and Extempore in addition to PI.
  • CAT 2023 scores will be the sole criteria for shortlisting candidates, with varying weightage assigned to sectional percentiles in CAT 2023 for final selection.
