Candidates must possess a B.Tech/ B.E. in Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized institute alongwith acquiring an overall aggregate of 65% (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women) in the qualifying degree exam. No. The GATE IN cutoff is revised every year and is released along with the declaration of the GATE result. Although the GATE IN cutoff might remain the same for two consecutive years, the conducting IIT releases a revised cutoff every year. A candidate cannot qualify the GATE In exam on the basis of the previous year GATE IN cutoff.
