Every year, more than 300,000 people take the CAT exam, but only 30,000 to 10,000 of them clear it and make it to the top IIMs and other top MBA colleges in India . Accordingly, less than 10% of test candidates pass the exam.
How Many Students Give CAT Exam?
There are between 230,000 and 350,000 students who take the CAT exam each year but this implies that just 200,000 to 300,000 of the registered candidates show up, which is practically the same as 20% of the registered candidates not showing up. Marks Required to Clear CAT Exam

Some 200,000 to 300,000 aspirants are taking up this very challenging CAT exam every year. This is the kind of test that would only clear the most deserving and suitable candidates, with checks and assessments on logical reasoning, analytical aptitudes, mathematical expertise, and language skills.
