Stop Being Clueless About the Syllabus
There are so many candidates preparing for the CUET 2024 exam who are clueless about what to study, where to begin preparation, what important topics to put more emphasis on and so forth. CUET is a huge exam in terms of courses offered through it and, of course, the entrance exam syllabus. Broadly speaking, there are three sections in the CUET question paper - Language Comprehension, Domain Specific subject, and General Test. Now, it is a candidate’s responsibility to check with their preferred college about their requirements according to which they can attempt either all the three above mentioned sections or combinations or only one section.
Once, you know what’s required in terms of the sections that you are supposed to prepare for the CUET exam, visit the CUET’s official website at cuet.samarth.ac.in, navigate to the “Syllabus” section and check the complete syllabus thoroughly in order to gain an understanding of what you are expected to prepare that will further set your way for a solid preparation for the CUET 2024 exam.
Be Clear About the CUET 2024 Exam Pattern
Although, NTA has not clearly mentioned the marking scheme for each of the aforementioned sections, if we go by the marking scheme and CUET exam pattern 2024 of previous year, candidates are supposed to attempt 40 out of 50 questions in the language comprehension section, one question carrying 5 marks each along with a negative marking of one mark. Similar is the case with the domain-specific knowledge section and for the General Test section, candidates are supposed to attempt at least 50 out of 60 questions. Now, with this information, you have a fair idea of how the CUET question paper is structured and now you will be able to chalk out a better preparation strategy to help increase your overall score in the exam.
Clear your Concepts and Doubts
Another tip to score full marks in CUET 2024 is to clear your concepts and doubts as soon as possible. You should not leave any topic or concept unclear or unattended, as it may hamper your performance in the exam. You should understand the basic principles, formulas, rules, facts and examples of each topic and apply them to solve different types of questions. You should also seek help from your teachers, mentors, peers or online experts whenever you face any difficulty or confusion.
Practice CUET UG Mock Tests and Previous Year Papers
One of the best ways to score full marks in the exam is to practice CUET mock tests 2024 and previous year papers regularly. These will help you to assess your preparation level, identify your strengths and weaknesses, improve your speed and accuracy, familiarize yourself with the exam pattern and difficulty level, and boost your confidence and time management skills. You should attempt mock tests and previous year papers in a simulated exam environment and analyse your performance after each test. You should also learn from your mistakes and work on them.
Stay Calm and Positive
Another tip to score full marks in CUET 2024 is to stay calm and positive throughout your preparation and during the exam. You should not panic or stress yourself over anything that may affect your performance or concentration. You should also avoid any negative thoughts or emotions that may demotivate you or lower your confidence. You should believe in yourself and your abilities and focus on your goal.
Study only from Reliable Sources
To score full marks in CUET 2024, you need to study from reliable and authentic sources that provide accurate and updated information. You can use NCERT textbooks, reference books, online study materials, video lectures, etc. You should also refer to the previous year question papers and sample papers to get an idea of the type and level of questions asked in the exam. Perfect Strategies to Score 800 Marks in CUET 2024
Believe us when we say this, in a large pool of so many motivators providing top tips and tricks to ace the CUET 2024 exam, not many provide these extremely valuable and functional strategies that will actually help you to be able to score full 800 marks in the upcoming CUET exam and be immensely proud of yourself.
Set Daily Study Target
Begin by evaluating the amount of time you can dedicate to your studies each day. Consider your other commitments and responsibilities and determine how many hours you can realistically allocate for studying. Now, divide your study sessions into smaller intervals to maintain productivity. For instance, you can study for 45 - 60 minutes and take a short break of 10-15 minutes. This approach will keep you refreshed and prevent fatigue.
Divide Your Syllabus
Break down the entire CUET syllabus 2024 into smaller topics and subtopics. Assign each topic to specific study sessions based on its complexity and your proficiency in that particular area. Identify the topics that carry more weightage or require more attention. These could be subjects you find challenging or areas that have a higher number of questions in the exam. Give these topics priority in your study schedule.
Set Achievable Targets
Set specific and achievable targets for each study session. For example, you can aim to complete a certain number of topics or chapters each day. Make sure your targets are realistic and can be accomplished within the allocated time. Realistic target setting will prevent you from feeling drained and unmotivated.
Create a Study Plan
Based on your available time and the daily targets you have set, create a study plan. Outline the subjects, topics, and time slots for each study session. A well-structured plan will help you stay focused and cover the entire syllabus systematically.
Smart Preparation is Key
After all, you are a human being, you cannot go on and study perpetually, right? That’s where the smart preparation hops in; you must study only what you are expected to study as per your preferred institute’s requirements for a particular course that you have opted for. Hard work is important but it is just another crucial ingredient in your overall success in the exam, smart work is your way to go and approach your preparation.
Start with the Most Difficult Subject
It is a no brainer, if you find any topics/ subject difficult then get up early in the morning (as per your study plan) with a fresh mind and start learning all the key concepts of such topics and note where you are getting stuck and what you are finding difficult. Reach out to your mentor, teacher or the relevant knowledgeable person to clear all your doubts and strengthen your weak areas.
Keep it Simple
Aspirants tend to panic when the exam approaches without realizing that such panic is the creation of their own mind and thoughts. Most candidates make things complex for themselves when it comes to approaching the topics for preparation by not putting emphasis on the concept but rather mugging up each and everything which eventually leads to bad results. Therefore, take each topic at a time- clear your concepts in that topic and then move to the next one. You must not waste your time in each and every minute detail because there is already so much to cover in the syllabus.
Be Consistent
Consistency is key to achieving your daily targets. Stick to your study plan and avoid procrastination. Treat your study time as a priority and make it a habit to follow the schedule diligently.
Track Your Progress
Keep track of your progress regularly. Review the topics you have covered, the ones you need to revisit, and the areas where you need improvement. This self-assessment will help you adjust your study plan accordingly.
Revise Regularly
Allocate time for revision within your daily targets. Regularly revise the topics you have studied to reinforce your understanding and retain the information. Revision is crucial for long-term memory and exam readiness.
Remember, while setting daily targets is important, it is equally essential to maintain a balance between studying and taking care of your well-being. Take breaks, engage in hobbies, and ensure you have enough rest to stay energized and focused. With consistent effort and smart study planning, you can score full 800 marks in the CUET 2024 exam.
