ICAI 2022
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India -ICAI administers the ICAI test, often known as the CA exam, to applicants of the Chartered Accountancy profession in India. The University Grants Commission (UGC) considers a CA qualification to be comparable to a postgraduate degree. According to the CA courses, the exam is given at three different levels. Candidates must pass all course levels to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. A chartered accountant is a professional who does auditing, accounting, financial analysis, and taxation for an individual or a business. He is an accounting professional who has been certified by a statutory organisation as qualified to manage accounting and taxation concerns for a business enterprise. Under the Scheme of Education and Training, an applicant may pursue a Chartered Accountancy course via the Foundation Course Route or the Direct Entry Route.
The foundation course is the entry point into the programme after Class 12, whilst the Direct Entry option is for students who have finished their graduation. The CPT method takes 4.5 to 5 years to complete a chartered accountancy course, whereas the direct entrance route takes 3 years to complete the course and become a certified chartered accountant.
The CA foundation course fee is Rs 9,800 (approximately). For the CA Intermediate, it is Rs 18,000 (approximately) for both sections and Rs 13,000 (approximately) for groups I and II, and the CA Final course fee is Rs 22,000 (approximately). The CA course is divided into three levels.
