IIFT IPM Admission 2023: The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) launched its Integrated Program in Management last year (2022) for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in one single course. The IIFT IPM course offers students a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Business Analytics and a Master of Business Administration degree in International Business. The duration of the course is 5 years and it will commence at the temporary campus of IIFT at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh).

The IIFT IPM program is aimed at young students who do not wish to have a gap year between their undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses like most individuals. However, candidates will have to option of exiting the program after 3 years, the successful completion of which will award the students with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Analytics only. Admission to the IIFT IPM program is based on the IPMAT exam which was conducted on June 16, 2023 . The IPMAT 2023 results have been declared on July 5, 2023. The IPMAT selection process which includes Personal Interviews were conducted between July 17 to July 20, 2023. IIFT IPM Eligibility Criteria 2023

One of the most basic requirements that candidates have to fulfill in order to enroll for the IIFT IPM course is to meet the eligibility criteria for the same. Candidates who fail to meet the eligibility requirements will have their applications rejected. That being said, the eligibility criteria for the IIFT IPM course are mentioned below:

  • Candidates should have passed their 10+2/XII/HSC final examination in either the Arts/Commerce/Science stream or an equivalent examination with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) or more aggregate marks in the year 2021, 2022 or they must be appearing for the final examinations in 2023.
  • The candidate must have passed the Class 10th examination with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) or more aggregate marks in the year not before 2019.
  • Candidates must have Mathematics/Business Mathematics as a subject in their +2 level of high school education.
  • Candidates should have been born on or after August 01, 2003 (there is a relaxation of 5 years for the candidates from the SC/ST/PwD category i.e. born on or after August 01, 1998).
  • Short-listing/selecting the candidates for the IPM course, IIFT will use the score of the IPMAT 2023 examination conducted by IIM-Indore. Merit list for admission will be prepared on the basis of a candidate’s IPMAT 2023 score, Academic Profile of Class 10th, and Gender Diversity.

IIFT IPM Admission 2023: Selection Process

Candidates will have to appear for the IPMAT exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, in order to be eligible for admission to the IIFT IPM course. The IPMAT exam scores will be used to shortlist candidates for admission to the IPM course along with other factors like Academic background, Gender Diversity, etc. It is important to note that IIM Indore will have no influence on the shortlisting/selection process for the Integrated Program in Management at IIFT Kakinada. IIFT IPM Admission 2023: Application Process

Candidates who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam must visit the official website of IIM Indore in order to apply for the same. Candidates must follow the steps below to register for IPMAT 2023 and subsequently apply for the IIFT IPM course:

  1. Candidates must first visit the official website of IIM Indore - iimidr.ac.in,
  2. Candidates must then fill out the online application form for IPMAT 2023 by providing all the necessary details.
  3. Before submitting their IPMAT application form, candidates must note down their IPMAT 2023 registration number.
  4. Subsequently, candidates must visit the official website of IIFT - iift.ac.in.
  5. On the official website, candidates must click on the ‘Admissions 2023’ icon.
  6. Candidates must then fill out the online application form as per the guidelines on the website.

Note: Candidates must note that it is mandatory to provide the IPMAT registration number while filling out the online application form for the IIFT IPM course.

IIFT IPM Admission 2023: Application Fee

The application fee is a mandatory payment that needs to be made by candidates while registering for the IIFT IPM course in order to complete the application process successfully. If candidates do not pay the application fee, their application form is bound to be rejected. The application fee must be paid in online mode only. What is IPMAT?

The Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test or IPMAT as it is popularly known, is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IIM Indore for admission to the five-year Integrated Program in Management at the esteemed institute. The IPMAT exam is a competitive management entrance examination that tests candidates in a variety of areas including verbal and quantitative aptitude. Candidates appearing for the IPMAT exam are also required to take part in written ability tests and personal interviews which are part of the selection process.

What is the eligibility criteria for IPMAT?

Candidates who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam are required to meet the eligibility criteria for the exam before they can apply for the same. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear for the exam and thereby seek admission through the admissions process. The eligibility criteria for IPMAT is as follows:

  • Candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 60% in Class 12 or HSC, and Class 10 or SSC examination or any equivalent examination for General/NC, or OBC categories (55% for ST/SC/PwD candidates).
  • Candidates must have completed their Class 12 examination in 2020, 2021, or 2023. Candidates before these years will not be accepted.
  • As of July 31, 2023, the candidates must be a maximum of 20 years of age.

What are the documents required for IIFT IPM admission?

Aspirants who wish to apply for the IIFT IPM course must submit certain documents during the online application process for the course. These documents are required as proof of the candidate's academic qualifications. The documents required for IIFT IPM admission are as follows:

  • Self-Attested copies of mark sheets of Class 10th and 12th.
  • Valid Government-Issued Identification Documents
  • Scanned copies of passport-sized photographs of the candidate
  • Scanned copies of signatures of the candidate in the prescribed format

How are candidates selected for the IIFT IPM course?

Candidates are shortlisted for the IIFT IPM course on the basis of a variety of factors and parameters. The primary factor that is considered during the IIFT IPM selection process is the candidate’s IPMAT scores. Furthermore, the candidate is also assessed based on their academic performance in Class 10 and Class 12. Finally, candidates who are females are given extra credit for gender diversity.

What is the application fee for IPMAT?

The application fee is a compulsory payment that needs to be paid by candidates who wish to apply for the IPMAT exam in order to successfully complete the registration process. Only those candidates who have paid the IPMAT application fee will be issued the IPMAT admit card and thereby be allowed to appear for the exam. The IPMAT application fee is as follows:

  • General and NC-OBC Candidates - INR 4130
  • SC, ST, PwD (DA) Candidates - INR 2065

Are accommodation facilities provided for the IIFT IPM course?

Yes, accommodation or hostel facilities are provided to the candidates who wish to enroll in the IIFT IPM course. Since the IIFT IPM course is a fully residential program, candidates are expected to arrange accommodation near the IIFT Kakinada campus. Hostel/Mess expenses (i.e single/double occupancy, hostel &mess fees, etc.) would be intimated to the selected candidates in their offer letters for admission.

What is the seat intake for IIFT Kakinada?

The total number of seats at IIFT Kakinada is 60. This includes seats that are reserved for various reservation category students as per the norms and regulations of the Government of India.

What are some of the subjects taught during the IIFT IPM course?

The IIFT IPM course is divided into two distinct degree courses and the curriculums for these courses are also different. During the first three years of the IPM course, candidates will be learning subjects from the BBA (Business Analytics) degree which include Micro Economics, Financial Accounting, Principles of Marketing, Business Communication, etc. During the fourth and final year of the IPM course, candidates will be learning more advanced topics and concepts related to management as part of the MBA (International Business) curriculum.

What is the MBA course fee for foreign students at IIFT?

The MBA course fee for NRI/Foreign Nationals at both IIFT Delhi and IIFT Kolkata campuses is US$ 60,000 + Rs.3,36,514. When converted to Indian Rupees this comes to around INR 52,59,367.
