IIM Placements 2023 Highlights: Overall
The most significant highlights pertaining to IIM Placements 2023 are as follows:
- The minimum salary offered by the IIMs stands at INR 7 LPA while the maximum salary package offered is 115 LPA (at IIM Ahmedabad).
- It has been observed that 3 students have established their businesses.
- Students in the MBA/PGP program are allowed to participate in the IIM placement drive after completing two academic years of study, and it is only after that point that they may select the professional career path they want to take.
- With a 100% student placement rate this year across all 21 of its campuses, IIM Ahmedabad received the highest domestic placement of INR 115 LPA.
- The top recruiters for IIM placements 2023 are Amazon, Bain & Company, Accenture Strategy, Deloitte, EY, Goldman Sachs, African Industries Group, Landmark Group, & BCG.
- Also, it was noted that across all IIMs, nearly 50% of students had prior job experience for an average of two years.
- The average CTC of the top 10% of candidates at IIM Ahmedabad stands at INR 55.60 LPA. Maximum offers were bagged in the Healthcare and Information Technology sectors. The lowest package was estimated to be INR 19.60 LPA. The average professional experience required was 2.5 years.
- The average CTC of the top 10% of candidates at IIM Bangalore has been estimated to be INR 37.40 LPA. Maximum candidates have been recruited in the Consulting & Management sector. An average work experience of 3 years is required.
- The average CTC of the top 10% of candidates at IIM Calcutta is INR 55 LPA. The institute has recorded 175 pre-placement offers.
- IIM Bodh Gaya witnessed a 24% increase in the average package, a 33% increase in the median package, and a significant growth of 73% in the highest package offered in the final placement.
- 56% of the batch possess prior work experience in companies like Airtel, Accenture, Bosch, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Tata Motors, Aditya Birla, Group, Vedanta, Mahindra & Mahindra, ZS Associates etc.
- IIM Tiruchirappalli observed a tremendous increase in Consulting offers, i.e. 47% of total offers.
- At IIM Kozhikode, a total of 571 offers were made by 116 recruiters, out of which around 38% of them are PPOs. There has been a remarkable increase of over 30% in contrast to the previous year in the average CTC and the highest CTC.
- IIM Lucknow offers Rs. 51.1 LPA to its top 10% candidates.
- IIM Sirmaur and IIM Ahmedabad combined to create 3 entrepreneurs. The consulting industry saw the most significant placements, followed by sales and marketing. Also, it was noted that most IIM campuses had a rise in average packages from placements of the previous year by 10% on average.
- All IIMs have shown 100% placement rate. The average package at IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, and IIM Udaipur has increased by 10% to 20%.
- The top sectors where the maximum number of students have been recruited in Placement 2023 are Finance, Consulting, BFSI, IT/Analytics, E-Commerce, Consulting, Finance, Analytics, General Management, and Product Management.
- IIM Mumbai formerly known as NITIE Mumbai saw an increase of over 30% was witnessed in the average package. The highest package stood at INR 78.20 LPA and the average package offered stood at INR 25.27 LPA.

IIM Placements Process 2023
Three types of placements constitute the IIM placements:

Summer Placements | October - November | In order to enable companies to hire students for internships in April and May, summer placements are arranged.
