IIT JAM 2025 Admission Form (March 26): Last Dates, Registration Process, Documents Required

IIT JAM 2025 admission form will become available on the official website jam2025iitd.ac.in on March 26, 2025, i.e., Wednesday. This will happen after the scorecard is out on March 24, 2025. IIT JAM 2025 counselling is carried out as a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for all Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The JAM 2025 counselling process includes admission form filling and selecting desired courses and institutes in preferential order. Given below are the dates of IIT JAM 2025 admission form for the next academic year.

IIT JAM 2025 Admission Registration Process

IIT JAM 2025 admission form is exclusively for the candidates who have qualified in IIT JAM exam. Qualified Candidates of IIT JAM can start their registration process. Candidates must fill in the admission form on the JOAPS official Portal. The details related to the registration of IIT JAM admission process 2025 is given below.

Step 1:

• All the qualified candidates should register and submit the admission application form on the official portal JOAPS.
• The official portal of the IIT JAM 2025 Admission Application form is jam2025iitd.ac.in
• Visit the official Portal of JOAPS, which is mentioned above, and click on the link IIT JAM Registration link that flashes which you will find on the homepage.

Step 2:

• Candidates can login with their login credentials.
• After logging in, register and fill in the IIT JAM Admission Form 2025.
• Only qualified candidates are eligible to initiate and complete the registration process for IIT JAM 2025 admission.
• Candidates can fill in the admission form with required details like education qualifications, uploading of certificates, category certificates and so on.
• Candidates, based on the test papers appeared for, can apply for one or more academic programmes offered by IITs and IISc through IIT JAM exam.
• But candidates should make sure that they all the eligibility criteria which are mentioned by their respective institutions.

Step 3:

• Candidates after filling up the Admission Form for IIT JAM 2025 should pay the admission form fee.
• The admission form fee of IIT JAM is Rs. 750, which is non-refundable.
• After that, candidates must submit the admission form.

Important Instructions of IIT JAM Admission Form 2025

• Candidates' admission will purely be based on the programmes which they have opted for while filling up the IIT JAM 2025 admission form.
• Admission Lists will be prepared based on preference order given while completing the registration process, and according to the ranks in the merit list.
• Admission Lists are prepared separately for each programme.
• After the preparation of the First Admission List, it will be released on JOAPS official portal.
• Candidates are advised to check the official website from time to time to know the status of their applications.  They must check also their registered Email ID and Mobile Number for the latest updates of IIT JAM 2025 Admissions, which is sent.
• Once the offer is received, candidates should log in through the Candidates portal (i.e. https://jam.iitr.ac.in )  and should choose one of the three options.
• The options are (i) Accept and Freeze (ii) Accept with Upgrade (iii) Reject and Quit
• Accept and Freeze: By selecting this option, candidates accept the offered seat and are not interested in upgrading to higher preferences.
• Accept with Upgrade: If candidates select this option that means the applicants accept the offered seat and are interested in upgrading to a higher preference in the following rounds.
• Reject and Quit : By selecting this option, the candidate rejects the offered seat and does not want to continue with the admission process. The offered seat will be cancelled and candidates will not be considered for the further round of admission.
• Candidates who have chosen either of the options Accept and Freeze / Accept with Upgrade should pay the seat booking fee.
• The candidates belonging to General/ OBC/EWS must pay Rs. 10000 as Seat booking Fee.
• SC/ST/PwD category students` seat booking fee is Rs. 5000.
• If the candidates opted for Reject and Quit, the applicant will receive OTP on their registered mobile number, which he/she must enter to confirm the decision.
• If the seats remain after the conclusion of the first round of IIT JAM 2025 admission, the authorities will release the second admission list. The same thing will happen for the second round as well.
• The third round of the admission list will be released if the seats are vacant after the second round of admissions.
• Similarly, the Fourth and Final Admission List will be released, if the seats are still vacant.
• Candidates are advised to check the profiles of IITs and their departments in which they would to join by visiting their official website.

Documents Required for IIT JAM 2025 Admission

The documents required for IIT JAM 2025 admission form are given below:

Mandatory Documents for General Category

• Class- X Certificate (SSC Certificate)
• Class XII Marksheet (HSC Marksheet/ Intermediate Marksheet)
• Qualifying Degree Certificate
• Marks Memo of all the semesters/Years of Qualifying Degree
• Certificates of Nationality (Date of Birth of Certificate/Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Passport First Page/ School Transfer Certificate )

Note: Ration Card, Driving License, College ID/Institute ID/ School ID/ Bank Passbook, Pan Card are not considered as National Certificates.

Mandatory Documents for Other Category

• Category Certificate OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, and ST as applicable
• PwD Certificate for PwD candidates
• Date of Birth of Certificate/Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Passport First Page/ School Transfer Certificate
• Class- X Certificate (SSC Certificate)
• Class XII Marksheet (HSC Marksheet/ Intermediate Marksheet)
• Qualifying Degree Certificate
• Marks Memo of all the semesters/Years of Qualifying Degree

Note: National Certificate is not mandatory for candidates who have category certificates.
