According to the official notification, the deadline to submit the application form on JOAPS portal is April 09, 2025 . Post admission form, JAM 2025 admission list will be released on May 26, 2025 . IIT JAM is a Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) which is conducted on the behalf of the HRD Ministry by IITs for admission into MSc programs. IIT JAM 2025 was conducted on February 02, 2025. IIT Delhi released the IIT JAM 2025 Result with the final answer key for all subjects on March 18, 2025. IIT JAM 2025 Admission Dates

The below table consists of all the important dates for IIT JAM admission 2025. Students are advised to go through the dates for IIT JAM 2025 admission procedure.

IIT JAM Admission Process 2025

The students who qualify for  IIT JAM 2025 exam will be eligible for filling the admission form for MSc admission through IIT JAM. The students will have to visit the official website of JOAPS to fill the IIT JAM 2025 admission application form. The students can check the detailed IIT JAM admission procedure 2025 as given below:

1. After the result for IIT JAM 2025 is declared, the students with their names in the merit list will visit the official JOAPS website to fill the application form.
2. After visiting the JOAPS website, the students will have to fill the admission form using the required details such as category, educational qualification, marks/grades, PWD status, etc. The students will also have to select the preferred program to avail of admission in. After filling the admission form, the students will have to pay the admission fee of INR 600.
3. As per the educational qualification and the rank obtained by the student in the exam, the admission authority will prepare and release the first admission list.
4. After the first IIT JAM 2025 admission list is released, the concerned candidates will be sent intimation by the admission authority. For confirming the seats in the allotted institute, the candidate will have to pay some advanced college fee as the booking fee through the official JOAPS website.
5. In case the seats remain vacant after the first admission list, the admission authority will release a second IIT JAM 2025 admission list. The students who have their names in the second admission list, but not in the first will have to submit an application form. Again, the students will pay the advanced seat booking fee for confirming their admission seats.
6. Even after the seats remain vacant after the second IIT JAM 2025 admission list, the admission authority will release a 3rd and final admission list for the eligible candidates. The students will have to follow similar steps for paying the advanced booking fee for admission.
7. After the release of the final admission list, the IIT JAM 2025 admission procedure will be closed.

Important Note regarding IIT JAM Admission Procedure 2025

Candidates must follow these instructions while applying for IIT JAM 2025 admission.

• Only one admission form can be filled by the candidates so they need to be very careful while filling out the admission form of IIT JAM 2025.
• The OBC/SC/ST and other reserved candidates must upload the reservation documents/certificates
• The candidate must fill the IIT JAM admission form 2025 before the deadline else they wont be able to take admission this year.
• The students must carefully cross-check all the information provided in the admission form. Any incomplete information or unavailability of program choice will lead to the rejection of the admission form of the respective student.

For getting admission into MSc programs through IIT JAM 2025, the qualified students will have to submit certain documents. The documents submitted by the students will be verified once before the final IIT JAM 2025 admission. The following documents must be brought by the students for IIT JAM admission 2025:

• Copy of the admission form filled by the candidate.

• Photocopy and original 10th and 12th mark sheet with proper grades visible on the mark sheet.

• Photocopy and original Qualification degree certificate and mark sheet

• Scanned copy of category certificate (for SC/ST and other category students)

• Scanned copy of PWD certificate (for PWD category students)

• Recent Passport size photograph

• Scanned signature

Eligibility Criteria for IIT JAM Admission 2025

IIT JAM 2025 admission is only given to the students who fulfill the qualification as required. The admission authority will release the admission list for IIT JAM on the basis of a candidate’s qualification. The students are advised to go through the following qualification requirement before going for IIT JAM admission 2025:

• The students must hold a bachelor’s degree in any stream of Bachelors of Science.

• The students must have Physics, Mathematics, or Biology as one of the major subjects in the BSc degree.

• The students applying for M.Sc in Mathematics must have Mathematics as the major subject in their bachelor's degree.

• The students must have cleared an intermediate degree in science with major subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

• For pursuing an M.Sc degree in Geophysics, the student must have Physics as the major subject at graduation level, with Mathematics as the subsidiary subject, along with any other optional subjects such as Chemistry, Statistics, Geology, Electronics, and Computer Science.

IIT JAM 2025 Admission Participating Institutes

The participating institutes for IIT JAM admission 2025 are divided into two parts: the result sharing institutes and the admitting institutes.
