This ITI trade lasts for a duration of 2 years.   • Basic CAD commands 2 – rectangle, array, scale, stretch, break, join, chamfer, spline, colors, line type, line weight, properties, match properties, hatch.
  • Draft a plan and elevation of a 3-seater sofa / 1-seater sofa basic CAD commands.
  • Draft a plan of the chair using Basic CAD commands.
  • Draft door elevation using basic CAD commands.
  • Draft interiors of bedroom/living room using basic CAD commands.

Damp proof Course (DPC)

  • Details at plinth level.
  • Details at terrace level (Water Proofing Treatment).
  • Details at basement level.
  • Details of the cavity wall.

Projection of Solids in inclined positions

  • Drawing plan, elevation, and side elevation of inclined solids like cubes, pyramids, prisms, cones, and cylinders in first-angle projections.

Section of solids

  • Drawing projection of solids in different section planes.

Introduction to design

  • Design topic – Residential.
  • Concept and visualization of design. (Students should be able to understand the process of designing and how the design project will go throughout the year.)

Preliminary drawing

  • Drawing to be prepared by trainees in AUTOCAD based on the single-floor residential building after analyzing the requirement and area analysis.
  • Initial sketches/preliminary drawings manually.
  • Sketches of the plan.
  • Front elevation and one side elevation.
  • Section through staircase or toilet.
  • Site plan with landscaping.
  • Load-bearing wall.
  • RCC framed structure.

Stairs

  • Plan and elevation of different types of stairs – straight stairs, quarter turn stairs, open well stairs, bifurcated stairs, circular stairs.
  • Construction Details of dog-legged stairs, baluster details, railing, nosing, tread, and riser calculation.
  • Details of wooden stairs.
  • Details of MS spiral stairs.

Floors and flooring

  • Components of ground floor.
  • Details of cement flooring.
  • Details of stone/tile flooring.
  • Details of wooden suspended flooring.
  • Details of the wooden double floor.

CAD

  • Advanced CAD commands – layers, block, insert, group, divide, measure, design centre, text gradient, dimension style, leader, layouts, model space viewports, File management.

Final design

  • Final floor plans showing living room, kitchen, bedrooms, toilet, logical order from the main entrance, basic area with furniture, garage and driveway, pedestrian ways, levels, north line, section line, scale, schedule, statement of area, etc.
  • Front elevation with all heights and levels mentioned.
  • One side elevation with all heights and levels mentioned.

Note: Design elements to keep in consideration while designing the elevations.

Surface Development

  • Developing surface Development of solids.
  • Detailed section through staircase/toilet with all heights and levels mentioned. (All presentation drawings are to be submitted as project spiral binding).
  • Final site plan with landscape elements.

(Note: subject of drawing, scale, date, job no, address, ph.no, north-south direction, sheet no. to be mentioned in all the sheets. The drawing produced should be well-readable and self explanatory.)
