Eligibility Criteria for ITI Colleges in Hyderabad
Candidates seeking admission to Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) in Hyderabad have to fulfil certain qualifying requisites as put forward by the Telangana government. Here are some eligibility criteria for ITI colleges in Hyderabad that each candidate must meet:- All candidates must be of Indian origin.
- Candidates must have passed the 10th standard from any state board, CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, or any other equivalent board.
- Others who seek to gain entry into a specific trade must be at least 8th grade pass, but usually 10th grade completion is preferred.
- Applicants must be at least 14 years of age in the year of admission.
- There’s no specified maximum age limit for entry into ITI colleges in Hyderabad.
- There are no separate entrance examinations and ITI admission process is mostly merit-based. All the students are assigned seats based on the percentage obtained in the qualifying exam.
- The list of documents to be submitted are the SSC marks memo or any other mark sheet considered equivalent, caste certificate if applicable, and any other relevant certificates viz. residence proof/ disability certificate etc.
- The rules also contain provisions for reservations according to their category, SC, ST, and economically challenged individuals apart from local and non-local candidates.

The application process must be completed through the online admission portal established by the Telangana ITI. Unlike in the past where each ITI had its own online application, a single application is sufficient for all government and private ITIs in the state.
