ITI Smartphone Technician Syllabus

ITI Smartphone Technician Syllabus : Among the most popular 6-month courses offered nationwide through a network of ITIs is CTS's Smartphone Technician program.

This trade has been added to the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) as a newly designed trade focussing on smartphones and apps. A candidate is trained for six months as a smartphone technician or app tester, trading on professional skills and knowledge. It consists primarily of domain and core areas. Professional skills and knowledge are imparted in the domain areas (trade theory and trade practical), while life skills are imparted in the core areas (employability skills).

A trainee who completes the training program is awarded a National Trade Certificate (NTC) by DGT, which is recognised throughout the world.

The ITI Smartphone Technician course syllabus focuses on the trainee learning about the Overview of SIM & IMEI numbers, the Description of USB, Ethernet ports and different types of network/ data cables, Basic features of Android & windows and their applications and Functions of Smartphone and their components.

ITI Smartphone Technician Eligibility Criteria

Students interested in pursuing a diploma in ITI Smartphone Technician must have at least a class 10th qualification. ITI's Smartphone Technician course eligibility requirements are listed below:

  • Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics or its equivalent from a recognised board or institute.
  • Candidates must be able to speak both English and Hindi fluently.

Several universities or colleges conduct the entrance exam for the ITI Solar Technician program. To be admitted to ITI, students must pass their entrance exam and meet the cut-off mark.

ITI Smartphone Technician Course Duration

Smartphone technicians at ITI undergo a one-year program in which they are taught various components with a total of 1600 training hours. The following is a breakdown of the classroom hours for the ITI Smartphone Technician course:

  • Professional Skill (Trade Practical) - 580
  • Professional Knowledge (Trade Theory) - 140
  • Employability Skills - 80
