Internal Assessment - It is a form of continuous assessment completely based on the Formative Assessment Method. Here, the training institute will maintain a detailed individual trainee portfolio
Final Assessment - The final assessment will be in the form of a summative assessment. The final assessment will be conducted by the Controller of examinations, DGT. Before marking the practical examination the individual trainee’s profile will also be assessed

60% to 75%	The candidate’s work has demonstrated the attainment of an acceptable standard of craftsmanship for performance in this grade, with the assistance of occasional guidance and careful consideration for safety procedures and practices. Displaying proficiency with hand tools, machine tools, and workshop equipment. 60–70% accuracy was attained while performing tasks other than those required by the component or job. A respectable degree of uniformity and neatness in the final product. Occasional assistance in finishing the task or project.
75% to 90%	For this grade, the candidate has produced work that demonstrates reaching a reasonable standard of craftsmanship while following safety procedures and practices with minimal guidance. Good proficiency with hand tools, machine tools, and workshop equipment. 70–80% accuracy was attained while performing tasks other than those required by the component or job. A good degree of uniformity and neatness in the final product. Little assistance in finishing the task or project.
Above 90%	For this grade, the candidate has produced work that demonstrates reaching a high standard of craftsmanship while following safety procedures and practices with minimal or no guidance. High level of proficiency with hand tools, machine tools, and workshop equipment. More than 80% accuracy was attained while performing tasks other than those required by the component or job. A high degree of uniformity and neatness in the final product. No or minimal assistance in finishing the task or project.

Pass Regulation

For declaration of the result, 100% weightage is applied for courses with a duration of 6 months and 1 year. However, for courses with two year duration 50% weightage is applied for each examination. For Trade Practical and Formative Assessment the minimum passing percentage is 60%, however, for other subjects the minimum passing percentage is 33%.

Dear Student,

If you have completed a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering with Lateral Entry then you can join ETO courses. However, you must meet the standard eligibility criteria before taking admission. Firstly, you must have qualified your 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or an equivalent vocational programme. Secondly, you must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in English in the 10th or 12th Class.
