
The National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main 2025 Dress Code & Exam Centre Guidelines for the candidates appearing for the session 2 exam. The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 is conducted from April 2 to 9, 2025. Many of you ask questions like, “Are belts allowed in the JEE Main exam? or Can I wear shoes in the JEE Main exam?" etc. According to the latest dress code guidelines prescribed by NTA, boys with simple half-sleeve t-shirts or shirts without large buttons, embroidery or graphics are allowed and Jeans and trousers are allowed. Female students are allowed to wear simple jeans, trousers, or leggings. Sippers and Sandals with thin soles are allowed. JEE Main Exam Centre Guidelines 2025

Documents to Carry at the JEE Main Exam Centres 2025:
- Admit Card: Students who are going to appear for the JEE Mai exam will have to keep a hard copy of the JEE Main 2025 admit card to enter the exam centres. Students who will not have a hard copy of the JEE Main admit card 2025 will not be allowed inside the exam centre. Students must note that “No digital copies of the JEE Main Admit Card will be accepted at the JEE Main Exam Centre”
- Valid ID Proof: Students will have to carry a valid photo identity proof issued by the government, like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, etc. Without valid ID proof, students will not be allowed to enter the exam centre.
- PwD Certificate (if applicable): Students who have applied for the PwD quota have to provide the PwD certificate at the JEE Main exam centre
- Students are required to reach the exam centre before the gate closing time mentioned in the JEE Main admit card. However, we advise you to reach the centre an hour before the gate closing time to avoid any last-minute hassle
Items Allowed Inside JEE Main Exam Hall

- JEE Main Admit Card 2025 (hard copy)
- Passport-size photograph (2 copies, as uploaded on the JEE Main application form)
- Black/Blue ballpoint pen
- Valid government photo-identity proof
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Self-Declaration Form
- Transparent Ballpoint Pen (blue/black).
- Personal Hand Sanitizer (50ml, transparent bottle).
- Water Bottle (clear, label-free).
Restricted Items Inside JEE Main Exam Hall

JEE Main Dress Code for Male 2025: Allowed

- Sandals or slippers with soles are allowed
JEE Main Dress Code for Male 2025: Not Allowed

- Clothes having metal are not allowed in the JEE Main 2025; students are advised to wear lightweight and comfortable clothes
- Goggles, rings, bracelets or any type of ornaments are not allowed
- Shoes with thick soles are not allowed
- Caps, mufflers or any type of cloth that covers the head are not allowed; however, religious clothing like a turban is allowed, but you might have to go through an additional checking
JEE Main Dress Code for Female 2025: Allowed

- Female students are allowed to wear simple jeans, trousers, or leggings
- Sippers and Sandals with thin soles are allowed
- Religious clothing like burqas is allowed; however, you have to go through an additional security check
JEE Main Dress Code for Females 2025: Not Allowed

- Female students must not wear any metallic clothes or clothes which has metals
- Stole, dupattas or scarves are not allowed
- Any kind of ornament or jewellery like rings, bracelets, chains, etc., is not allowed
