Jharkhand B.Sc Nursing Eligibility Criteria  2024

The candidate must meet the following eligibility requirements, as stated below, before applying for B.Sc nursing admissions in Jharkhand:

1. Domicile :Candidates must be residents of Jharkhand. Candidates must submit a Domicile certificate at the time of admission.

2. Educational Qualification :

BSc Nusing Course

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in science stream with PCM and English as their main subject with an aggregate of 45% marks from any recognized board such as CBSE/ ICSE/ AISSCE/ HSCE/ SSCE or secured its equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates who have completed 10+2 examinations through the National Institute of Open School may also apply, but they must have secured at least 45% marks.
  • Candidates applying for the B.Sc nursing will have to be at least 17 years old by December 2024

BSc Nursing Post Basic Course

  • Candidates must pass the high school or senior high school or Intermediate or 10+2 examination from any recognized board.
  • Candidates should have secured a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and have registered themselves as Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife (R.N.R.M.) with State Nurses Registration Council.
  • The maximum age for applying for Post Basis B.Sc Nursing is 35 years (45 years for State Government employees).

3. Eligibility Criteria for Men

In addition to registering as a nurse with the State Nurse Registration Council, male candidates must be trained prior to the introduction of the new integrated course. Candidates must provide a training certificate approved by the Indian Nursing Council as similar in place of midwifery in any one of the following areas:-

Community Health Surgical Nursing

Leprosy Nursing

Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing

O.T. Techniques

Ophthalmic Nursing

Jharkhand BSc Nursing Merit List 2024

Based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance test, a merit list will be drawn by the conducting body. The merit list would have the names of the candidates selected for admission. The merit list will be prepared based on the score obtained by the candidate and the categories of the candidates. The seats will be allotted to candidates whose name has appeared on the merit list.

Tie-Breaking Procedure:-

During the preparation of the merit list, the conducting authority is sometimes faced with a situation in which two or more candidates score the same scores in the entrance test. The following criteria are used by the governing body to resolve the tie problem.

For B.Sc Nursing Admission:-

  • Candidates who score higher in Biology and Chemistry will be given preference first over other candidates

  • First preference shall be given to a candidate who is older

For Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admission:-

Jharkhand BSc Nursing Counselling 2024

Candidates who clear the Jharkhand BSc Nursing Admission 2024 will have their name on the merit list prepared by the governing body. In order to appear in the counselling process, the candidates need to fill out the counselling registration form from the official website. Based on their ranking, candidates will be called for B.Sc Nursing counselling. The selected candidates will then have to report to the assigned venue to complete the admission and its related formalities such as document verification and, payment of the admission fee.
