Is joining IIT BHU worth it?

IIT BHU is renowned for its experienced and academically rich faculty and placement opportunities. IIT BHU boasts of more than 300 faculties with all the professors holding PhD degrees. During IIT BHU placements, more than 1,000 offers were made and 308 companies visited the campus.

 

Can I get direct admission in IIT BHU?

Candidates will have to appear for the JEE Main and the JEE Advanced exam to secure a seat into IIT BHU. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their AIR. The minimum marks for admission changes every year and depends upon the performance of all other candidates. However, candidates must at least obtain 70% marks in the JEE Advanced exam.

 

Is IIT BHU considered an old IIT?

IIT BHU was designated an Indian Institute of Technology status in 2012. The institute boasts of 14 departments and 3 inter-disciplinary schools. It is one of the oldest engineering institutes of the country which brought up electrical, ceramic, mechanical, and pharmaceutical engineering in India.

 

Is IIT BHU good for Computer Science Engineering?

IIT BHU is well-known for its excellent placements in almost all the branches according to the placement statistics of the past years. CSE candidates generally receive an average package of 34 LPA.

 

What is the minimum rank to get into IIT BHU?

As per the cutoff data of the previous year, candidates can get a seat at IIT BHU with the rank of under 5000 for the General category All India category candidates.
