Karnataka PGCET MBA Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria to apply for Karnataka PGCET MBA admission. The minimum eligibility criteria for the Karnataka PGCET MBA are stated below:

Full-Time MBA

  • Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree or any other equivalent qualification recognized by AICTE/ UGC.
  • Candidates must have completed graduation with at least 50% marks in all subjects.
  • Candidates belonging to any of the ST, ST, or Category-I of Karnataka must have scored at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

Part-Time MBA

  • Candidates looking for part-time MBA admission must have completed a bachelor's degree from any recognized institute approved by AICTE/ UGC
  • Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in the degree program.
  • Candidates belonging to any of the ST, ST, or Category-I of Karnataka must have scored at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Those candidates who are looking for admission in part-time MBA must have work experience of at least 3 years as of July 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for PGCET MBA Government Seats for Karnataka State candidates

  • Candidates must have studied in one or more government or private institutions situated in Karnataka.
  • The total number of academic years should be at least 7, starting from standard 1 to the qualifying examination as of July 1, 2024.
  • Besides this, the applicant must have cleared either the 10th or 2nd PUC standard / SSLC/ 12th standard examination from any institute recognized by the State Government of Karnataka.

Karnataka PGCET MBA Result 2024

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will release the results of the Karnataka PGCET MBA by the last week of August 2024. The Karnataka PGCET result 2024 for MBA will be declared in the form of a merit list containing the names of the shortlisted candidates. The details mentioned on the Karnataka PGCET MBA scorecards include Candidate's name, PGCET number, Candidate type/category, PGCET 2024 rank, PGCET marks, and Programme. The merit list will be declared on the official website of PGCET and will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the PGCET exam. Selected candidates will then have to appear for seat allotment and counselling rounds as per their rankings. Two counselling rounds will be conducted depending on the merit list in which the candidate has to choose the colleges he wishes to enroll in.
On the basis of the priority of options given by the candidates as per the merit/rank, allotment of seats will be done. It is mandatory for the candidates to confirm the seat and the allocated college before the last day. Seats will be reserved for the Ex-Defence Special category, Physically Disabled Special category, and Karnataka candidates (70% of the seats).

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts the Karnataka PGCET counselling process for candidates who have qualified in the exam. The stages included in the Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2024 include document verification, option entry, seat allocation, choice filling, payment of fees, and reporting at the allotted institute.
