Kerala University B.Ed 2025 eligibility criteria are devised by the university itself. Following the state norms, Kerala University also has a reservation policy providing benefits to reserved category candidates as well as students with a domicile certificate.

The general eligibility norms for interested candidates are explained below:

Nativity:

  • Those holding Indian citizenship are eligible for admission to Kerala University B.Ed 2025.
  • Applicants who hold Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards will also be treated as Indian citizens for admission.
  • There will be no reservation relaxation given to the PIO/OCI candidates.

Domicile:

All students who belong to Kerala will be categorised as Keralite and others will be categorised as Non-Keralite.

  • Keralite: A person of Kerala origin will be categorised as a ‘Keralite’. Children of All India Service (AIS) office (Non-Keralites) allotted to Kerala cadre are deemed to be ‘Keralites’. No reservation benefits will be offered to these students.
  • Non-Keralite: Non-Keralite students will be considered as ‘Open Merit’ seats only and will not be eligible for reservation except for Tamil linguistic minority and reservation for nominees.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Completed 10+2 in a relevant stream from a recognised school with a minimum of 50% marks can apply.
  • Applicants who have completed their graduation in a relevant subject from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% are eligible to apply.
  • Students who are in the final year of graduation can also apply. However, they need to provide the provisional documents at the time of the counselling process.
  • Completed post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks in a relevant stream from a recognised institute.
  • Those who have finished graduation from a distance university are also eligible to apply for Kerala University B.Ed admission 2025 if they have a minimum score of 50% marks in the last qualifying examination.
  • Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) communities with passes, for Graduation and Post-Graduation, in the respective optional subjects, are eligible for admission.
  • The students belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Communities (SEBC) will be given a 5% concession.
  • Candidates belonging to Other Eligible Communities (OEC) will get 5% relaxation.
  • Blind candidates will get a 5% benefit.

Age Limit:

  • Students must be physically fit and mentally sound to be eligible for the course.

Kerala University B.Ed 2025 Application Process

The application process for Kerala B.Ed admission 2025 will be conducted in an online mode and candidates can download and fill the application form and pay the application fees to successfully register themselves. The application form is expected to be released in June 2025. The step-by-step application process for BEd admission is explained below:

Step 1 Registration

  • Candidates are required to visit the official; admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in. and read all the instructions very carefully and do not press the “back button” during the filling of the application form.
  • Firstly, candidates need to generate an application number and password after clicking on the "Click here for Registration" button on the official website.
  • Now candidates have to provide their basic details such as name, gender, date of birth, email address, mobile number etc. After entering all the required details, candidates will receive a unique application number and password on their registered email address. The date of birth of the candidate will be set as the default password in dd/mm/yyyy format.
  • Candidates are advised to save their login credentials for future admission purposes.
  • No candidates can use your login credentials to proceed with the application process.

Step 2 Candidate Profile Registration

  • Candidates must start filling out the application form with details such as name, date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number, email ID, caste certificate, etc.
  • Now candidates will be required to provide their educational details such as their academic achievements as well as marks and certifications secured.
  • Candidates here will be given an option of “Add and Change” to mark their choices, in order of preference, which is to be done very carefully.
  • They can select program/ college options, and have to add the same to the list of options by invoking the "Add Option" button. Candidates can add up to a maximum of 20 options.

Step 3 Payment of Registration Fee

  • After checking, all the details, candidates can proceed with the payment of registration fees by clicking on the “Pay Online” button.
  • The registration fee is to be paid in an online mode concerning the application fee amount to reserved category candidates.
  • Candidates can use credit cards/ debit cards/ net banking/ UPI etc. and any form of offline transactions will not be accepted.
  • Those taking admission through Management Quota in KUCTEs have to register separately in an online mode by remitting Rs 2000 as the registration fee.
  • After paying the registration fees, applicants are recommended to save a copy of the fee receipt.
  • Students must note that the application fee payment is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Step 4 Uploading of Documents

  • Upload your photograph and signature as well as supporting documents in a prescribed format.
  • Students have to be very sure of the documents provided by them and must ensure they are valid and not illegally obtained, as faulty documents may lead to serious repercussions.

Step 5 Verification of Application

  • Candidates after adding all the options click the “Preview and Verify Completed Application” button for the registration process.
  • A proper verification will be conducted before the application is submitted. At this point, candidates will have a provision for editing in some specific sections. Provision for editing is permitted in some specific fields in each section.

Step 6 Saving a Printout

  • Lastly, candidates can take a printout of the completed application form by clicking on the “Print Completed Application” button and save the acknowledgement for future admission purposes.
  • All the students are instructed to submit their application form before the due date to the admission portal.
  • After successful completion of registration, candidates have to compulsorily change their password during the next login session, by using the OTP received on the registered mobile number.

Kerala University B.Ed admission 2025 process is completely online and depends upon the marks secured in the last qualifying examination, graduation or post-graduation. After the application process is completed, based on applications received, the participating institutions of Kerala University release their cutoff for various B.Ed specialisations.

All the candidates who meet the cutoff released by the participating institutes, have to appear for the counselling process wherein they might undergo a personal introductory interview as well along with the e-verification of documents. Based on successful completion of counselling rounds, academic achievements of the candidate, category or quota under which candidate is applying, reservation policy, followed by the institute, number of seats available, availability of course specialization etc. Candidates will be allocated seats.

Kerala University B.Ed 2025 seat allotment will be done after the completion of each counselling round. There will be a release of the trial allotment list before the first and second allotment lists.

Trial Allotment:

  • A trial allotment list will be released on the official website after the completion of the registration process, which will provide information about the chances of getting admission to a program at a particular institution solely based on applications received and colleges chosen by the candidates.
  • The trial allotment does not guarantee admission, however, provides an opportunity for students to edit their preferences before the release of the first allotment list.

First Allotment:

  • The first allotment list will contain the names of candidates who have qualified for round one of the counselling and have been allocated a seat.
  • All the students who are satisfied with the seats allocated to them in the first round, have to pay the seat confirmation fee in an online mode and then report to the college allocated to confirm their seat as well as admission on the specified date and time for further admission formalities.
  • Delaying or missing the college reporting process may lead to missing seats or cancellation of admission.
  • Candidates who remit the fee after the first allotment before the due date will get the facility of cancelling/ activating higher options for them before the release of the second allotment list.
  • After the first allotment, the options below the ‘allotted one’ of the candidate will automatically be removed from the option list of the candidate.
  • Candidates who are satisfied with their allotment and do not want to participate again for further allotment(s), must cancel all the remaining higher options.

Second Allotment:

  • The students who will be allocated seats during the second allotment list, have to download their seat allotment memo using their login credentials from the admission portal and report to the colleges for further admission formalities to confirm their seats.
  • After successful verification of documents in completion of all formalities, candidates can pay the college fees and wait for the notification for commencement of classes.

Kerala University B.Ed 2025 Merit List

The Kerala University B.Ed 2025 merit list will be released after the completion of each counselling and seat allotment round. Candidates can download the merit list from the official website of the participating institute as well as the Kerala University admission portal by using login credentials. The merit list will contain the names of all candidates who have been shortlisted and provisionally provided admission to participating institutes depending upon the fulfilment of relevant requirements.

All the candidates who have been allocated a seat and are satisfied with it, have to then report to the college allocated for further admission formalities.
