Kerala University B.Ed 2025 eligibility criteria are devised by the university itself. Following the state norms, Kerala University also has a reservation policy providing benefits to reserved category candidates as well as students with a domicile certificate.

Nativity:
- Those holding Indian citizenship are eligible for admission to Kerala University B.Ed 2025.
- Applicants who hold Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards will also be treated as Indian citizens for admission.
- There will be no reservation relaxation given to the PIO/OCI candidates.
Domicile:
All students who belong to Kerala will be categorised as Keralite and others will be categorised as Non-Keralite.
- Keralite: A person of Kerala origin will be categorised as a ‘Keralite’. Children of All India Service (AIS) office (Non-Keralites) allotted to Kerala cadre are deemed to be ‘Keralites’. No reservation benefits will be offered to these students.
- Non-Keralite: Non-Keralite students will be considered as ‘Open Merit’ seats only and will not be eligible for reservation except for Tamil linguistic minority and reservation for nominees.
Academic Qualifications:
- Completed 10+2 in a relevant stream from a recognised school with a minimum of 50% marks can apply.
- Applicants who have completed their graduation in a relevant subject from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% are eligible to apply.
- Students who are in the final year of graduation can also apply. However, they need to provide the provisional documents at the time of the counselling process.
- Completed post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks in a relevant stream from a recognised institute.
- Those who have finished graduation from a distance university are also eligible to apply for Kerala University B.Ed admission 2025 if they have a minimum score of 50% marks in the last qualifying examination.
- Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) communities with passes, for Graduation and Post-Graduation, in the respective optional subjects, are eligible for admission.

The application form is expected to be released in June 2025. The step-by-step application process for BEd admission is explained below:
Step 1 Registration
- Candidates are required to visit the official; admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in. and read all the instructions very carefully and do not press the “back button” during the filling of the application form.
- Firstly, candidates need to generate an application number and password after clicking on the "Click here for Registration" button on the official website.
- Now candidates have to provide their basic details such as name, gender, date of birth, email address, mobile number etc. After entering all the required details, candidates will receive a unique application number and password on their registered email address. The date of birth of the candidate will be set as the default password in dd/mm/yyyy format.
- Candidates are advised to save their login credentials for future admission purposes.
- No candidates can use your login credentials to proceed with the application process.
Step 2 Candidate Profile Registration
- Candidates must start filling out the application form with details such as name, date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number, email ID, caste certificate, etc.
- Now candidates will be required to provide their educational details such as their academic achievements as well as marks and certifications secured.
- Candidates here will be given an option of “Add and Change” to mark their choices, in order of preference, which is to be done very carefully.
- They can select program/ college options, and have to add the same to the list of options by invoking the "Add Option" button. Candidates can add up to a maximum of 20 options.
Step 3 Payment of Registration Fee
- After checking, all the details, candidates can proceed with the payment of registration fees by clicking on the “Pay Online” button.
- The registration fee is to be paid in an online mode concerning the application fee amount to reserved category candidates.
- Candidates can use credit cards/ debit cards/ net banking/ UPI etc. and any form of offline transactions will not be accepted.
- Those taking admission through Management Quota in KUCTEs have to register separately in an online mode by remitting Rs 2000 as the registration fee.
- After paying the registration fees, applicants are recommended to save a copy of the fee receipt.
- Students must note that the application fee payment is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Step 4 Uploading of Documents
- Upload your photograph and signature as well as supporting documents in a prescribed format.
- Students have to be very sure of the documents provided by them and must ensure they are valid and not illegally obtained, as faulty documents may lead to serious repercussions.
Step 5 Verification of Application
- Candidates after adding all the options click the “Preview and Verify Completed Application” button for the registration process.
- A proper verification will be conducted before the application is submitted. At this point, candidates will have a provision for editing in some specific sections. Provision for editing is permitted in some specific fields in each section.
Step 6 Saving a Printout
- Lastly, candidates can take a printout of the completed application form by clicking on the “Print Completed Application” button and save the acknowledgement for future admission purposes.
- All the students are instructed to submit their application form before the due date to the admission portal.
- After successful completion of registration, candidates have to compulsorily change their password during the next login session, by using the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
