How to Study Laws of Motion Effectively for JEE Mains 2025?

Here is a shortcut to study Laws of Motion more effectively for JEE Mains 2025.

  • In-depth study of Newton’s Law of Motion

Laws

Shortcut

First Law (Law of Inertia)

Fnet = 0 Body is either moving in constant velocity or is at rest

Second Law (F = ma)

Use free body diagrams

Third Law (Action-Reaction Law)

Consider pair of forces

  • Free Body Diagrams are always advisable

For questions based on forces, always use free-body diagrams to identify and label forces like weight, friction, applied force, and tension.

  • Friction Forces

Forces

Equations

Kinetic Friction

Fk = μkN

Static Friction

Fs ≤ μkN

  • Capitalise on Work-Energy and Impulse-Momentum Theorems whenever required

Use these theorems when forces are not constant or when time is not at all given.

Theorem

Equation

Impulse-Momentum Theorem

J = Δ p

Work-Energy Theorem

Wnet = ΔKE

Dear Student,

Agar aap ka GATE score 530 hain, to NIT Durgapur, IIIT Bihar aur IITDM Kurnool mein Data Science & Artificial Intelligence course ke liye admission mil sakta hain. Agar aap OPEN Category se belong karte hain, toh NIT Durgapur mein aap ko shayad admission na mile, but OBC-NCL/ EWS ategory mein admission mil sakti hain. Aap doosre NIT colleges accepting GATE score 500-600 bhi check kar sakte hain. Unfortunately, GATE score 530 pe aap ko kisi bhi IIT mein admission nahi milegi.

We hope this answers your query. Good luck!
