Eligibility for Courses Under AP ICET 2024

Before applying for any courses offered through the AP ICET exam, candidates are required to appear for AP ICET. To appear for AP ICET candidates are required to meet certain eligibility criteria set by the competent authorities. Meeting the eligibility criteria is not only a mandatory requirement for appearing in AP ICET but also to seek admission to any of the colleges and universities accepting AP ICET scores. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that candidates make sure that they meet the eligibility requirements before applying for the AP ICET exam. The AP ICET 2024 eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

  • Candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974.
  • Candidates must have passed a 3 or 4 year bachelor’s degree or must have passed an equivalent qualifying examination in the 10+2+3/4 pattern as recognized by U.G.C. (University Grants Commission).
  • For MBA admissions candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST and other reserved category students) from a recognized university. The course duration must be at least 3 years.
  • Candidates in the final year of the bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply for AP ICET.
  • If candidates have obtained the qualifying degree through an open university or a distance learning program, such degrees much be recognized by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB.

Admission Process for Courses Under AP ICET 2024

The admission or AP ICET counselling process is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for candidates who wish to seek admission through the AP ICET exam. Candidates who qualify for the AP ICET exam and meet the eligibility criteria to participate in the counselling process with be able to apply for the same. Seat allotment is done on the basis of various factors including a candidate’s AP ICET rank and their preferences. Candidates who wish to participate in the AP ICET counselling process will have to register for the same on the official website once the counselling schedule is released by the competent authority. The admission process for courses under AP ICET 2024 is mentioned in detail below.

AP ICET Counselling Stages

Description

Stage 1 - Issuance of Counselling Notification

  • The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education will issue a notification regarding the AP ICET conselling process which will consist of date-wise ranks of the candidates.
  • Candidates will have to attend the counselling session for Registration, Verification of Certificates and Schedule for Exercising options in person according to their allocated dates.

Stage 2 - Counselling Registration ( icet-sche.aptonline.in )

  • Candidates will have to visit the official website for AP ICET - icet-sche.aptonline.in
  • Click on the ‘Candidate Registration’ link on the official website
  • Enter the necessary details which include the AP ICET Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth.
  • After entering the necessary information, candidates will have to click on the 'Submit' button.
  • Next, candidate’s basic information will be displayed including their e-mail address and mobile number. Candidates will have to confirm their details and those who are eligible for reservation must provide the required certificates and select the appropriate Minority option.

Stage 3 - Payment of Processing Fee ( icet-sche.aptonline.in )

  • Candidates can move forward with paying the processing fee after providing all the required information.
  • The processing fee is Rs. 1,200 for General Category students, while the same for SC/ST category is Rs. 600.
  • The counselling processing fee needs to be paid via online mode, i.e., by using a credit or debit card or internet banking.
  • An online receipt will be generated following the successful payment, verifying the handling of the fee payment.

Stage 4 - Document Verification

  • All of the shortlisted candidates must go through the document verification process at the help centers as part of the counselling process. A candidate must sign up for the document verification process in order to do this.

Stage 5 - Exercising Web Options

  • Candidates can exercise their options in the AP ICET 2024 counselling once they have finished the document verification process. It is a web-based process, and candidates need to have access to the internet and a computer or laptop for this stage.
  • Candidates will then have to login to the web-optin selection page on the official website using their AP ICET Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth.
  • Subsequently, candidates will have to enter the District and College Type to see the list of colleges available.
  • After selecting the appropriate colleges, candidates will have to click on the ‘Save’ tab.

Stage 6 - Seat Allotment & Self-Reporting

  • The candidate will be able to download the provisional allotment orders from the website once the allocation process is complete.
  • Candidates will be given the option to "self-report to the college online" after downloading the provisional allotment letter to report to the designated colleges. The letter of allocation is available for download on the official website.
