NIT Agartala placements begin from the month of July and continue until June of the following year. NIT Agartala's Centre for Career Development (CCD) organizes events that help students improve their employability, including as soft skill development, leadership qualities, and industry-specific workshops. NIT Agartala's placement unit also organizes workshops and other important training events for students.

The Placement Cell sends invitations with necessary information to various companies.
Organizations are assigned a point of contact (student and faculty).
The JNF details are made available to students online alongside additional information provided by the organization. Interested and eligible students who meet the company's standards demonstrate their willingness to participate in the organization's recruitment process by registering with the institute's Training and Placement department.
The verified database of all such students is shared with the organization via the Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
During the NIT Agartala recruitment process, the pre-placement talks, tests, group discussions, personal interviews, etc are organized by the SPOC allotted to the company.
At the end, the company announces the list of the selected offers via email or on campus.
Additionally, the Training and Placement Cell arranges for the chosen students to sign offer letters.
Once candidates sign the job offer letter, their employment will be confirmed.
