NIT Civil Engineering JoSAA Cutoff 2025 - The B.Tech Civil Engineering cutoff for NITs is based on several variables that are taken into consideration when deciding the JEE Main B.Tech cutoff. One of the prominent courses at NITs is B.Tech Civil Engineering, and JoSAA counselling is used for the admissions process. The ranking given to candidates based on their JEE Main percentile will determine how they get admission. Therefore, aspirants need to aim for a good score/rank in JEE Main for better admission chances.
The NIT cutoff rank is the score that a candidate must achieve to get admission to a course offered at the institute. Candidates should be aware that if their rank falls below the cutoff rank, they will not be eligible for a seat in the allotment phase. For each NIT, the specific cutoffs for each course and category are released. Cutoffs may therefore vary from institution to institution and from category to category. In this article, we will discuss the NIT Civil Engineering cutoff for the academic year 2025, as well as the previous years.Latest Updates
The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) response sheet has beeen released on May 22, 2025, and following the response sheet, the JEE Advanced 2025 answer key will be released on May 26, 2025. Along with releasing the provisional answer key, the objection tracker window will be activated on the official website, through which the candidates will be able to challenge the provisional answer key on May 26 and 27, 2025. After the scrutiny of the objections, the final answer key and the JEE Advanced 2025 result will be released on the official website: jeeadv.ac.in.

In the JoSAA choice filling process, candidates are allowed to enter and arrange their choices of institutes and colleges according to their wish to be admitted to. Candidates are suggested to fill as many choices as possible in order of their preference to increase their chances of seat allotment in JoSAA.
In case, a new seat is not allotted to a candidate in the CSAB-Special round, then the JoSAA seat will be retained with the candidates.
If one does not lock their choices, the last saved choices will be locked automatically upon reaching the deadline for the JoSAA choice filling. The automatically locked choice list will be considered for allocating a seat during the JoSAA counselling process.
Some of the B.Tech colleges of India that accept admission without the JEE Main score are Chandigarh University, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institutions Bareilly, ABSS Institute of Technology Meerut and Brainware University Kolkata to name a few.
Candidates must pass the JEE Main entrance exam with at least 85% to be eligible for admission into the Civil Engineering programme provided by NITs.
Some of the factors determining the NIT Civil Engineering cutoff are difficulty of the JEE Main exam, cutoff trends of previous years, the number of candidates who appeared for the JEE Main exam, the number seats available at NITs for Civil Engineering etc.
